That being waaaaaaaaaaaay back during my third month of play. During Siv's trial. My main-at-that-time, Krent (OHMAIGAWDTHATSWHEREHEGOTHISNAME?!), was all boyscout shonen anime, and was called to the stand to represent himself. In typical Krenty fashion, he didn't know what to do with that.

...so he preceded to run back and forth. Sitting in the chair and then running out of it. Doing a "Lawyer Krent" and "Testimony Krent" persona in front of everyone at the event.

"Ehhhh, whaaa? I hafta...represent myself?! How do I do that...oh! I know! *ahem* Hey, Krent!"

"Hiya!"

"Do you double-pinky-promise swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you Light?!"

"Uhh, yeah!"

"Kay, good. What happened on the night of blah blah blah?!"

"Uhhh...I was doing stuff. I don't remember D:. By the way, you're doing a good job at this whole lawyer stuff Krent, even though you've never been a lawyer before! Keep at it! :D"

"Thanks, Krent. It seems like you were doing your scout's duty that night, so I can't really grill ya....hrrrmmmmmm~"

Despite my infamous bitterness and harshness I do have -some- memories I'd like to share.
  • Nexi, for the RP we have had through this time of the Pilgrimage. Whenever we RP together it's exciting.
  • Last week I threw a random event in Outland, where draenic pilgrims stumbled upon ghosts and were overrun by cabalists. THANKS, cause it was one of the most enjoyable events I've hosted on CotH.
  • c0rzilla, for the private or small sessions we had as Gamba and Marwaz.
  • Bloodsworn Honourguard, for making our capture and captivity in Nagrand such a great thing!

This thread is way overdue. Below is my list of thank yous in no particular order.

First of all, I'd like to thank who post in the IC-forum. You guys are creative and I love reading your work, though I don't post as seems the trend in the IC-forum. The stories there expand on your characters even if I never met them in-game, and motivate me to write my own behind-the-scenes stories.

I'd like to thank Nexi, who RPed with me many moons ago and made me feel welcome on COTH when I first got started.

Thank you to Errata who constantly keeps me guessing what kind of shenanigans we're going to get into.

Thanks be to Jonoth. A man with a rich dwarf who spurred me to want something better for Ural.

Thank you to the staff who puppets things, setup events and otherwise prods us off of GMI to RP.

Thank you to Bounty for RPing with me even before I was moved to second-shift.

Thanks to Grakor for giving Irogh a shot, as pathetic as he is.

If you feel I missed you, then I thank you, as I probably didn't mean to Hug

I liked the concept of this thread. So, I am going to NECRO it.

First... MISTER RIGLEY

Thanks for helping me out with the Oface storyline/event chain. And for the auction help...And he-man. He-man is flipping awesome. But not just all the GMy stuff. Thanks for just being rad with RP and coming up with great ideas. I mean, yeah. You get what I am saying.

Second.

I had an awesome RP session with STEEL tonight. We did some awesome orc fighting and then killing..Then eating! Mmm. It was great. Thanks for dealing with my lul-buzzedness. :3

Last.

AERIKAN and DOTSY

Thanks for helping me with the whole storyline and letting Ammasrian torment you. :3

Anyways.

IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW. THIS THREAD IS FOR YOU TO POST POSITIVE ROLEPLAYING EXPERIENCES. DO IT. AND MAKE SOMEONE FEEL NICE.

Dear Server,

I used to know you better than I do know, but things change, trends pass. No matter what however, you have been an amazing palette for myself and my friends to RP on, so for that I thank you, for the wonderful experiences you have let me have in virtually every RP I've been present for on CotH.

<3

Yes, I just thanked an inanimate object for a positive RP experience. As in, every RP experience I've ever had.

P.S. Technically it's not even an inanimate object since it's all information and not even anything physical. Food for thought!

So many people to thank! *Squeal*

For starters, Rosencrat. My evil mentor. I've learned much from you, and you were always there to whip my sorry hide back into a consuming RP experience. May your reign of darkness scar the earth.

To Torches, who was there alongside every evil RP, and helped me pursue my aims and goals. Rage on.

To Adam255, who showed me this server in the first place, and helped me into the RP experience. May your coffee never dull.

To Beala, for taking part in one of the largest, and longest RP storylines I ever experienced. A happy story, with an ending most sad.

To Grakor, for inducing hilarious, and d'aaaw inducing moments with Rhozak and Thragash. And for being the best stud-muffin out there.

To Nexi, who constantly cuddles and hugs, who always brings back the Draenei RP with a full on throttle.

To Saiyuu, despite the fact we don't RP that much anymore, the times we did were fun and memorable!

To Hiddengecko, for being Mija, and always making up wacky selling schemes with Leyo.

To Lendri, for always kicking back the Forsaken RP to life, time and time again, and for endless patience with my nonesense.

To Immy (Who got sassy pink!), who's derpiness inspired countless derps to derp about. And for the lovely art discussions, and tips, he always had in store.

To Cressy, for hosting a gazillion small events, and inspiring me to try it myself.

To Sunday12321, for being generally awesome.

To Uguu, for great justice-Dorf.

And to so many others, whom I never got their forum names. I love this server, and all it's inhabitants. I wish you all nothing more but joy in the RPs to come.

Brace yourselves for an enormous post.

I'd like to thank a gargantuan amount of people. Pretty much everyone I've interacted with in a positive manner, but sometimes? Even those people that I butted heads with in a not-so-nice way. In no particular order, I'm thanking

-Werewolf1 for Scotaidh 'n Bremus 'n Mortumer 'n Rush'kah! He was my one-man welcoming committee, and without him, I prolly would've left CoTH years ago. One of the most patient Players I met here, and my only regret is that more people didn't get to encounter the Dwarven awesomeness that is/was Scot.

-Angorianka for Antaana, Zanta and... her Forsaken whose name I forget! 80% of all Troll Lore that I know, I learned from her. And she had the first extremely racist characters that I'd encountered, and I'll be damned if that's not an awesome example.

-MarsupialDeluxe, formerly Battlewalrus for Alyina, Shaena 'n all the other gals. I used to hate the Damsel-In-Distress archetype. This player cured me of that, and showed me that pretty much any concept is viable, if it is role-played out properly. And by the gods, does this one stick to realism like a fly to flypaper. A great learning experience.

-Latiel for Latiel, Linzul/Lin'fon, Kayluu, Allandra and... well, everyone else. Even Hat Junior Junior. I miss those absolutely incredible character concepts, the great interaction opportunities this player provided, and the unusual storylines they came up with. But most of all? Dammit, I miss the OOC chatter.

-BountyHunter, for... a lot of characters. Marius and Sebastien the most, though. The same incredible ability to come up with intelligent and funny - yet completely Lore-plausible - character concepts as the previous player, Bounty has my thanks more for his OOC understanding and advice-givin' abilities, though. Talking with him was quite heartening.

-Kilthilanos for Narine especially, I owe this player the style of emotes I still use today, as well as a debt of gratitude for being extremely encouraging and helpful, and putting up with me even with all I dragged them through.

-Sylaris for Swyll, this player helped build on what the previous one set the foundation in, and left me feeling rather proud of the choices I ended up making over the course of my Role-playing career.

-ThePharaoh - Who originally spelled his name as ThePharoah, much to my amusement - this player has provided me with a good number of months-worth of storylines and did everything he could to chase away boredom with a Runeblade in hand. I have not seen the last of 'Jidaeo brushes the hair from his face with his thumb.', I promise. We've had some crazy adventures, huh?

-Zunaj, for Zunaj dammit! AdoraTroll that colored my opinion on Trolls thereafter, Zunaj was and is a joy to role-play with. He's the one I thank for teaching me that it's okay to lose, and I've also come to enjoy combat RP thanks to him, whereas before it didn't seem quite so bright. I'm still sorry about breaking his jaw, though.

-Skaar, for Atun and Skaar most of all, again one of my first friends here, and one that I value to this day. I've never encountered a Forsaken quite like Skaar in all my time as a Role-player in the Warcraft universe, and I'll be damned if it's the last time I see a chicken murdered with a throwing knife. Skaar's also been quite understanding and supportive OOC-ly, and I owe him for that as well.

-Spiky for Urzhad and Relshaz in particular, another great friend and an awesome person to speak to both IC and OOC. I remember the first day he came to CoTH, and Skaar, Inhibitor, Jidaeo and I ending up his unlikely band of friends. It was awesome beyond awesome.

-Dastmo, for Hebry especially, this player gave me someone to hurt. Literally. Role-playing with him was a cathartic experience that allowed me to unwind and release all my negative emotions into his poor shoulder. Heheheh... Jokes aside, though, it was a joy seeing extremely reactive characters from him. Breath Mints of Undead-Slaying.

-Jason for Nathaniel, the Vrykul-and-Pirate-slayer, but also painter. The character was quite fun to bounce stuff off of, and in the short time I've had the time to interact with Vainar as well, he seems to hold to true to the same standards.

-Sol for Jared Richter. Jared is one of my favorite Forsaken out there, and a decidedly lulzy character to be around, but quite often backed-up by plausible motivation for the stuff he does and says. I love how realistic - and yet somehow funny at the same time - he seems. Attack dogs get all the ruddy fun.

-Drak for Drakus, Chad 'n Roove, again someone I think I may've abused IC-ly quite a bit, but still someone that made a mark large enough to be remembered for years to come.

-Rokhjin for Franziska and her undying(Harr! Get it?) loyalty. An awesome sparring partner, and partially responsible for the birth of the server's first fully-trained Warden.

-Avitz for Avints, Ventus and Gavin especially, and their refusal to let boredom rule the stage, I feel I've dragged this player through hell and back, and I'm honored to have stood beside him against crime Azeroth-wide.

-Drust for Tirius and Grisp especially, and their incredible difference. Drust's characters are nothing if not varied and diverse, but those two have a special place in my heart. Tirius the impulsive and Grisp the legend both have been stupendously well-written characters that I've learned a lot from. Oh, and the OOC chatter was crazy-awesome!

-JackOfBlades for Leon. Leon the Ghoul, dammit. He made me(And subsequently Sylvandre) laugh to tears more times than I care to count. Standup comedy from beyond the grave.

-NoSecrets for sharing with me the secret art of Story-telling and imparting upon me NoSecrets, as Lim, Naiti, Caibre, Lanilae, Lyf, Syf, and so many others were absolutely incredible characters that had writing of a quality more oft' encountered in commercial literature than on the internet behind them. The main blame for Sylvandre going Warden lies on Lim's shoulders.

-Raven776, for Gwen, Tsara and Anta especially, and chasing away boredom, keeping me quite entertained and happy, and being an awesome friend both IC and OOC. Oh, and I want to see more of this player's writing, because it's stupendous, even though they refuse to admit it.

-Saluku for Sehae Arabianea, Kaldorei Warrior. Have you ever felt that a player and their character simply bring that final piece of the puzzle that completes a storyline's image? This is exactly what Sehae did. Made the party feel complete, and made me feel welcome. /thumbs-up!

-Azheron for Helmer. Holy hell, Helmer... We've had a few disagreements along the line, but otherwise? I owe more to ya' than I care to admit. From Bofvir's companionship, to Helmer starting up the Thieves' Guild that sparked so much of Sylvandre's development, you've been an unwitting blessing.

-Whoever played Durzo Kilyn, for being a partner in crimeVigilantism worth stalking the streets of Stormwind with, this man created The Punisher of CoTH, and I am honored to have met him and stood for justice beside him.

-FlyingSquirrel for being one of those who provided the noble opposition. That said, I kinda' liked him as Danalthar a bit more, but hey, I quite like his characters still. /Lore-hound high-five.

-Kirabo, for Kirabo and Taelynn. This player's support meant quite a great deal to me, and were it not for their feedback, I probably wouldn't have kept on scribbling up pieces of my mind. Additionally, this player shares my love of subtlety and an intellectual approach to problem-solving, as opposed to bluntness. /thumbs-up.

-Uthaniel, mostly for Uthaniel himself, and his attempt at solving Flareth's impossible puzzles, but also for Nesh, the Knightadin. Additionally, I've enjoyed the player's OOC attitude and approach to the various conundrums which affect our community. Thanks for that, yep!

-Roxas65 for Abby and Truux especially. Fundraes to the core, and great to have in combat role-play, this player's humor will never cease to surprise or amaze me.

-c0rzilla, for Annabelle especially, for being an awesome person to chat with OOC-ly and to interact with IC-ly, as well as being a trusting friend. /salute.

-Duraza for... pretty much every single one of his characters. Good gods man, I love your writing and the motivation you place behind characters, making them believable. I especially like this man's villains, because they embody what I believe makes a good nemesis: Intelligence, wit, and being just human enough for the hero to come to the frightening conclusion that they are not so different from the darkness they so hunt. Oh, and the OOC discussions were incredible!

-dragonmad, for Velial especially. Even though the player won't admit it, they're a superlative role-player and one that comes up with generally well thought-out and plausible characters - whilst also deviating from the norm enough that you never know what'll come next. More than worth spending time with and learning from.

-Aruk for Telika especially. Loads of fun to spend time with, and she loves dogs/wolves as much as I do, so there! Hmph. Also had the guts to play a cripple right off the bat, and do it well.

-AlianaS, for mistaking me for another player - and Calandil, Aliana and Alexas especially. Absolutely adorable to role-play with, and more fun than a box of chocolates. I'm so proud of having encountered this player. It's been a blast! Literally!

-ptdapen for Calleda especially. Callypally is the person that started off the Crimson Templars, pretty much my favorite group of people to be in. Calleda's also been great fun both IC and OOC, and hell, even random chatter was worth it!

-Inhibitor for Aanya and Julianah in particular. One of the most understanding and humble role-players I've had the honor to encounter, there wasn't a situation she would not roll with. A great presence to have, her characters are well thought-out, and have been a good counter-balance for mine time and again.

-Hawk for how despite the fact that we haven't had much Role-play together(He rolls 3s), he was an awesome friend to have OOC-ly, and great to share chatter with and raid with, too!

-Seraphim for Scibryn, whose armor I shamelessly stole as I said I would for my own Templar(Albeit an Argent one not a Scarlet one), and the absolutely incredible Surienna, as well as Maladras, who reminds me more of Jarod Shadowsong than he'll ever know.

-ChampionMouse for Anuil especially, but also Mochla! The former, alongside with the previously-mentioned Role-player have set up some of the greatest events I've ever been to, together. I miss you guys...

-McKnighter for Krian and Redis! Though a temporary member of the Crimson Templars, this player has shared countless OOC lulz with me and mine, and has contributed to the fun atmosphere I encounter on CoTH!

-Beltharean for Don, and Abel and Fin'thori and Kaz, interesting characters as well as awesome OOC chatter? Yes we can! Belth's a fun person to talk to, whether you're bored or curious, and he's a living compendium of Lore.

-Hiddengecko, for giving me someone whom I love to hate on and abuse verbally, as well as criticize at every given opportunity. Yep, you read that right. In all honesty, though, what I'm really thankful for in this player is the willingness to try to improve in most aspects of their role-play. I wish I'd see the same attitude in more people.

-And quite possibly the most influential and instrumental of all, Etmosril for pretty much every shred of interaction I've shared with the player. Crazy in-depth, complex storylines, extremely believable characters, engaging writing and a ridiculously fun OOC attitude have all left their mark on my mind, heart and spirit. But then, the player knows all of this already, and more. Words won't do them justice. Let's make awesome together!

Told you it'd be long. /smirk. Sorry if I've forgotten anyone. I might include them later, if I remember to.

Thought I'd make a more formal list.

Rigley: It's quite obvious why. You've been my rp partner for about three or four years. Even if we started off not liking one another, you always gave something to the rp that made me come back.

I think that's why we're together..

Cressy: We should rp more. You are awesome, your antics are awesome, and you're always fun to catch on Skype or MSN.

PS: Thanks for the glasses.

Grakor: I know lately I haven't said anything to you but questions but I actually like talking to you quite a bit. You're very nice and you always seem to know the right thing that helps me out, but sometimes I like talking for the sake of talking. I look forward to you coming back to rp some more, maybe even have some more Horde truth-or-dare like at the birthday party!

Bountyhunter: I wish I could catch you for more rp given your timezone but it's always good to have someone to hang out with in the early morning when no one else is around. I have to thank-you for that.

Avitz: I just like you all around. I haven't rped with you lately and I know I can't just seem to stick to a single incarnation of Rhonda. I feel like some of our rp is limited by the whole draenei thing but at the same time I was pretty happy when you'd sit down with an rp with Lenore on Avints or Abian. You're almost always there so I almost always have someone to chit chat with.

Reese777: Jezzan is adorable and I want to give him all of my hugs. Of course Chekka does not feel the same, but there's bound to be someone who thinks the same IC!

Steel: For playing my orc's family. I kinda want some more orcish brethren for my orcs.

Beltharean: Though I think you've acted dumb at times I genuinely like what we do together.

Candlejack: or... his username is slightly like that. He played Gatwazzak. He was the head of the troll posse when I first joined. Troll rp is something I hold fondly in my heart and I will never forget all the trololol rp we had.

Am180: For the troll rp as well. :p

Ruwendje: You've been a nice slaver, I like how cooperative and respectful you were to me OOCly :3

Krilari: You've been awesome. I love your orcs, man. Maybe we can get together with Mouse sometime and have some family shenanigans.

And that's most of it for now c:
