lmao first and foremost thank you Cressy for changing your signature to something that isn't disturbing.

Second. I give you props for making this post, I honestly skimmed but it is something that needs to be discussed thoroughly and because of ignorant internet egos' no one wants to do it. Glad you tackled the issue. In any form or sense.

I think an important thing to keep in mind is just keep it mature. It's M-rated comment for a reason~

Also, if the bed/tree/tent/whatever is a rockin', don't come a knockin'. Herp.

Very nice read! Brought up many significant points that everyone should follow should they begin teh ERPz.

As an ERP-connosiuer myself, this guide hits every point I've ever thought to myself, regarding rules and the such.

Also, I just love the way it was written. Pure. Awesome!

All of my love is in this. Every little bit of it. As a proud player of many belves that tend to end up with their own gender, I approve. I always diversify each character when they end up with another since every person is different and each handles their relationship differently.

I could go off on each one, but heck, not everyone wants to read that. The curious can just PM me. I ain't afraid to answer questions about that.

I've seen some very horrific displays of gay and lesbian characters in my RP experiences. I've also seen some that were refreshingly realistic. I make this point for anyone who wishes to portray these types of characters, that if you do, keep it diverse! We all love to fight for our favorite race, and say that "Not all Dwarves are drink-happy macho men and women" or "Not all male BElves are women" or "Not all Orcs are mindless, battle-happy peons". The same should apply to gay and lesbian characters.

2.) Gay and lesbian relationships are exactly the same as any other. Another often-used trope is to make gay and lesbian characters excessively touchy-feely. It often comes across as trying to throw the fact that they are gay in the faces of other players, ICly and OOCly. While you character can have pride, they are more likely to do what most couples spend their time doing. Treat it like you would a heterosexual relationship. You will also find a lot more people willing to roleplay with your character if they aren't afraid you are going to get busy right on top of them.

Man, have I seen some cringe-worthy depictions of homosexuality on the server before. Yeesh...

Also: needs more orc man-love.
Have you hugged an orc today?

MY YAOI SENSES ARE TI-*slapped*

I do like how this points out the above though, as it really makes it awkward when you see these things but really don't know what to say about something that's a horrible stereotype. Hopefully this will...ya'know...cause more people to think about what they're doing when they make homosexual characters rather than go by what they see on rather offensive shows that stereotype everything in the worst way possible.
