They actually found someone already (Kiari is fine with it).
I know it may give some people bad vibes but I don't find surrogacy creepy, neither do I find it creepy to ask for someone to do it on these forums. It may have been phrased jokingly or poorly but I don't see harm in it overall.

Worse so that pregnancy is expected of it, unlike, say, an ad on the Personals for more casual meetings of the type or prostitution.
I don't know about you, but I'm not all that comfy with people requesting sexytimes or to get others preggers, on a pg-13 public forum, despite how mature the community is. I feel that, if it is to happen at all, such a thing should be handled in private.
Romance? Sure. Anyone can seek a significant other. But this has nothing to do with it.

There's a difference between searching for a surrogate and soliciting for sex, and while sex IS implied it doesn't mean that it's an inappropriate topic in and of itself, or that it's something that we're even going to get into as a roleplay. I know everyone has a different comfort zone, but it's going to be hard to curtail it if we are expected not to ask to have a baby because sex makes babies. I don't mean to be "blunt" about this, I just feel like drawing a line if this is somehow too much to ask if another character wants to have a kid with someone.
Also I don't think it was mentioned in the first post, but ICly there was some mention of giving a baby to Leron, I think Reigen remarked that it'd be better for them to raise a baby instead of taking one of his 100-year-old offspring. :B

Gonna throw my stick into this since Leron's my character and he's being involved here...
Leron has been hounding Salor for adoption. No matter what it would be an NPC infant. There's no real gained/lost RP in that bucket. And Leron chimed in during the making of that little blackmail jokingly saying "heck, I was looking to adopt anyways. Just give me the kid." Guess he got taken seriously. But the position has been filled so there's no more real need for discussion here. If you wanna carry this topic any further, I'm glad to discuss these sorts of topics over PMs.

I don't personally see a problem with asking for a surrogate mother on the forums. It's not prostitution, for one. Secondly, it's a PG-13 forum. Most teenagers know what sex is and know that it's a part of life. While I think the matter should be handled gently, I don't see a problem with it.

As far as the questions of 'solicitations' go, that was never my intention. I worded it in ways I thought would fully avoid that subject. Yes, I was asking for a pregnancy. I wasn't asking for the details of how it happened. Perhaps I should have specifically stated that much.

I think that the problem with communication here is how cautiously you originally worded the first post, landashua. It was so vague that it definitely seemed correct to infer that something inappropriate is occurring. To be honest, my first thought was that whatever you had planned for the mother wasn't going to be consensual, which resulted in my initial ill feelings and response in this thread. Not that my concerns should be something for which to consider, but perhaps this could be better avoided in the future with a little more concrete detail.
I noticed that you've since edited the original post (and it added some much-needed clarification), but it was unfortunately after this discussion had begun.
