The Draenic Pilgrimage [ENDED]

I wanna start out by handing out a huge thank you to @CappnRob and @Caravan for hosting the two preparation-events for the Shat K'ure finale. What did you people think of them? And how was it to host them? So to thank both of you I offer to make some nice sparkling pics for a wiki-page or something, eh?

And now I finally have the chance to post a little something about tomorrow event. It will include the ceremony of welcoming a newborn child that some of your characters might have been around to experience before, so in the spoiler is a little bit of information to prepare before the event. (The info is very basic and based upon my own ideas on the rite, no lore to be the foundation of anything.)

Spoiler:

- The mother and father carefully wash each others arms. Then the child is brought forth and cleaned by both parents together.
- The middle of a -long- ribbon is wrapped four times around the child, each representing a virtue. Then every person wrap it once around their wrist and pass it on to the next person in the circle and both ends meet opposite of the child. A massive communal prayer is done, everyone pouring their Light into it and this shapes the glyph that will later appear when the child uses his or her gift.

Now I've had some more time on my hands so I can make a proper post, or rather posts since there are a lot of things connecting here.

First off I am happy to announce that we have finally reached the point when Sha'kur has become a reality! I just recently posted the guild-post here, and will spruce it up when I get the chance.

Secondly I wanna shout out a huge "THANK YOU!" to @Reigen for puppetting Velen himself during the concluding event of Shat K'ure. (And of course to @Kretol for allowing him to appear.) His presence added a whole other profound depth and meaning to the event and I'm jealous of Allira and Dunkhaan... I wants squid-spawn too... *sulks*

We are inching ever closer to the end of the Pilgrimage but it will be postponed for ten days since I'm heading off on a wee vacation.

I wanna finish off this thread by reminding all everyone that was present at the final event of Broken world, broken elements and Shat K'ure to take the chance and help me out by doing an IC post about your characters perspective or aftermath of either/both storylines. (TEAMWORK!) The reason I want this to happen is because it your characters experiences that truly defines the end of each storyline, not a little line I can add. So I'll give you all until I get back and am done with the graduation (8th of June) to make and post your additions. If you don't understand or need suggestions, see the already finished storylines under the first post of this thread. Or ask each other.

I'll be returning back homewards in three days but I won't be avaliable for RP in at least a week but I will start planning the final events then. I've calculated that we are four to six events until the pilgrimage is finished.

Bad news people...
Summer is here and that means thunderstorms, we had one yesterday and I pulled a mighty fail and forgot to log in and say so before turning off all electronics. This morning my comp won't start and on top of that I now have no warm water in my flat... Can I get a "Yay!"?

Posting from work right now, motivation is on the bottom but I will see this to the end when I have a working computer.

Update - I am still without connection to the rest of the world. The thunderstorm fried our line good (the whole neighbourhood) and they have yet to give us a date on when they expect it to be fixed. Until then I guess I'm just gonna sit tight. Tried convincing my brother that I could use his comp and Wow for some session but he refused, despite him borrowing my Steam-account... Siblings!

I hope the summer is less destructive wherever you lot are. Today is the first real day at work and I've had a lot of patients already. More to come. Midsummer was spent with the family by the sea and a lovely dog that stole my heart.

Soon we shall return, soon we shall do the final push! Next week I have a five-shift week so there won't be much action then but after that I have a few days off where I shall try to get things kicking. What we have to look forward to now is four or five more events that will be the end of the Draenic Pilgrimage. First one will be a semi-casual Halls of Healing event in Shattrath to warm up, remember where we last left off and so on.

With some recently released details about draenei lore I have to change bits and pieces to what I had planned for the resolution of the Pilgrimage. Mainly changes to a NPC. That's why I have yet to set any dates for the last few events (and of course a bit flooded with work).

Foop! Enough time spent waiting and loitering and real-living stuffs and what not. The 'Currently' on the mainpage have just been updated and I'm in the works of planning the last few events of the Draenic Pilgrimage (not Sha'kur). Note that these 3-4 events will be set pre-Cataclysm and the first event will offer a re-cap/intro for those that can't remember or aren't familiar with the DP.

Two events two late evenings in a row... I'm spent even though I haven't moved from this monitor, apart from loo-breaks, in five hours. I'm excited and pleased about the outcome and wanna point out that the depth of the roleplay this group has reached is stirring in the most awesome ways. Yesterday the pilgrims joined in to treat the sick and injured in Shattrath and were fooled by a young boy a fraction of their ages. Today the pilgrims braved the fel-tainted wastes that is Shadowmoon Valley carrying a very sacred load.

Looking forward to the following events and the transition to Sha'kur on Azeroth.
