1. First things first! Did you read the rules, policies, and FAQs?
Of course! Given the importance of guidelines and rules for this kind of gaming environment (and as someone who would like a good RP experience) I gave them their due attention.
2. How did you hear about us?
Google "private wow roleplay server," and here I am.
3. How did you get into RP?
I'm not sure I've ever gotten into RP since I was a child and my friends and I used become the Ninja Turtles (I was Donatello) or set up all our Jurassic Park action figures across the room and lead our daring plastic heroes to safety. Actually, now that I think about it, it was that sort of thing that probably drew me so much into RPGs as I got older - the ability to immerse oneself in the a world so separate and unachievable from this one. So in short, my imagination got me into RP.
4. How did you get into Warcraft?
A friend got me into Starcraft, which initiated my love for RTS. Then I learned Blizzard made a fantasy RTS as well and, preferring Orcs to Zerg, I picked up my copy of WC3 and was enthralled with the universe ever since.
As for WoW, my roommate recently got me to start playing via the 'recruit a friend' tool that Blizzard has going. I had largely been avoiding it because I know how absorbed I can get in a game and I had become so busy with college. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play with my friends so I caved in...
5. What is your favorite race/class?
I'm a big fan of the Tauren: I really enjoyed their storyline in WC3 and how they came to ally with the Horde, and in general, I love their connection with nature and their overall "down to earth" demeanor. Continuing off my apparent fondness of nature, I also like the Druid class. Perhaps as an ardent environmentalist and vegetarian I see myself as a similar protector of the natural earth?
However, the only character I have played IS a Tauren Druid, so on this server I think I will be playing something else. I want to see the Ally side of things for a change and was thinking of a Human Priest. Human because I am interested to see how their story plays out (oh how the mighty have fallen) and be a part of it. Priest because I've always been partial to the healer classes and I also like the idea of playing a religious class and seeing where it can take me IC.
6. What is your favorite kind of character to play?
I never like to play the "good guy" or "bad guy," but instead the conflicted character who can only see shades of gray. I've also been very resentful of the 'overpowered' character and tend to create a variety of weaknesses for myself. But isn't that part of the fun? Creating a character and having them overcome their flaws over time? (I'm not actually sure, I've never done this before :P)
I also enjoy the booking character, and one that is especially concerned with history and trying to figure out why things are they way they are. This is an obvious reflection on myself as a major history buff hehe

I think as long as its organized and there are a lot of people adhering to the rules, I will enjoy it. I also think I'd like an RP environment that is constantly developing and that gives me the opportunity to develop my own character within it.
8. Do you have any hobbies (outside of Warcraft)/talents/stupid human tricks?
Yes! I've been playing guitar for about 6 years, I love hiking/backpacking and just being outside, I'm a huge nerd for history. I've also been studying Japanese for some time now and spent about 6 months there last year as an exchange student, which was the best experience of my life. I think languages and how people communicate in general is just really interesting.
