Hello there!
I'm new to the forum and stumbled upon in accidentally. I've been done playing WoW for a good bit of time, life just has bigger priorities to pay then a monthly game. However the best of my time on WoW was spent at the height of good RP. The fact there is a private server dedicated to RP is a wonderful thing that has enormous amounts of potential. I can't imagine a realm filled and active with only one thing - Roleplayers.

My only concern of course? That it is active. Not to seem Elitist but I love good Roleplay, and have been at it a long time. I wouldn't want to log on and find one or two people somewhere in the world now and again. So my question to you all would be, how active is this private Roleplay server? If it is active then I would love to join, and might even bring as many as 3-4 others along with me. All good Roleplayers. So please let me know. I look forward to hearing some feedback. From th elooks of the site and forum, it's very active. Though I would like some first-hand accounts.

As of this moment, there are thirty-seven people currently roleplaying.

We're also a very lore-heavy server. You'll find a lot of debates over what is acceptable or not, and it all hinges on lore.

By all means, keep Roleplaying and don't feel bad about the short reply. 37 people all roleplaying? Is that the total amount on? Are others off leveling or whatnot?

At any rate that's a pretty high number. Surprising even. Also to take into account its a Tuesday night. Is that normally a quiet night?

Yes, the server is -entirely- dedicated to Roleplay. It's what it's there for. Levels don't matter, and you're IC basically all the time, save for OOC levelling(If you wanna, up to level 50. But you can be levelled by GMs directly to 80 via an approved profile for the respective character and gruntship.) and specifically-designated OOC areas which include vendors for RP items and other such useful miscellania.

The server -is- active, and people RP constantly on it. I know I do. And the only thing you might worry about is that people tend to cluster in 'RP hotspots', but so long as you manage to draw one or two people away from them, you'll have fun. Fel, you might even enjoy being in a crowd. At times, I do.

Aaaand on the quality of RP, I can safely say that it's pretty much some of the best I've had. But it kind of depends on the luck you have, and the people you run into. There're good 'n there are a bit less good, but nonetheless, a certain standard of quality is maintained, marking it as one of the best servers out there, quite possibly -the- best.

Well again, that's a great review I couldn't deny the word of its own players. So I guess all that's left is to know if its a speedy process? We're all human I know but, joining and having the GMs approve. Is it like pulling teeth? I have me and two others on stand-by. Keep that Roleplay going!

Pulling teeth? It can be, depending on your point of view. Our attitude has always been "you're approved when you're approved," when it comes to intros, profiles, etc. etc.

The one piece of advice I can give is to write a lot and be detailed. The better and longer your introduction and profile are, the faster we go "That's neat!" and approve you. Most people who sit in limbo forever are the ones that skimp on writing and we end up going "Eh, this is borderline. Pass or fail?"

Introductions? They can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day or two. Usually, they don't take any more than that.

As for everything else, it usually takes a bit of time. CoTH is a place that is very keen on a couple of things. Notably Respect (It's the number one rule for this reason), and Patience. Things come when they come. Sometimes it's mere hours, other times it's days. I know that Peon's first profiles sometimes can take up to month, maybe more, to hone and polish into a good piece of proverbial work.

So, yeah... Things generally take some time - Curses. Grak got this one... Shows they have speed on their side...

You're approved when you're approved. I like it. So much in fact I've submitted an application myself.

Hopefully it goes well. I do appreciate the speedy answers on this topic to help me make up my mind. Thank you those who responded! I hope my sarcastic sense of humor doesn't blow up my Introduction too much.
