A Conflict/War RP Zone?

I'd vote somewhere in Outland also.....that area desperately needs some lovin'. Never gets used for RP, and it has the advantage of flying mounts and huge, open landscapes.

Alterac Valley is pretty epic for this sort of thing, but doesn't really have room for three different factions sadly.

Could also perhaps use Halaa, and takes turns with who's attacking and who's defending.

Actually, taking a look around Wintergrasp, I think that would be the ideal location for such RP. Lots of space, lots of buildings, lots of things to fight over. Only problem is that a lot of the buildings had to be deleted because they were crashing us in 3.1 or something, so we'd have to find a way to restore them...not sure how feasible that is or not.

Halaa was another idea, though. Or really, any of the Outland places with objectives (Zangarmarsh and Hellfire would both work. Hellfire in particular, as it also has a place that would work great for the Sin'sholai.)

Northrend has always been laggy/buggy for me though. But I am willing to try. As it seems suitable for this idea.

I can still agree with Outland though. Perhaps a vote?

Someone can feel free to start a poll if they think staging this in Outland is that important. After looking about, Wintergrasp is a good area to do it in, though.

1. It's pretty big and spacious, with lots of buildings to take over and run about in.

2. It's mostly clear of mobs, which means even peons and other sub-80 characters can RP there.

3. It's in Northrend, and coincides wonderfully with Mikain's Tides of Change story arcs. I already spoke with him about this.

Unless there's a lot of support for putting this in Outland somewhere, I think I'll work on Wintergrasp instead.

I say Wintergrasp. It helps with the Tides of Change, as most armies are now landing and pushing their way through Northrend. And.. I just love battlescarred lands. Makes me all giddy like a school girl and provides excellent atmosphere for people who are strong on immersion. So yeah, Wintergrasp, imo!

I'd have voted Alterac Valley, but as Vrahn so cleverly pointed out, it's got no space for the Sin'Sholai.
That out of the way, I think Wintergrasp sounds like an excellent choice - Especially if some method of transport is added for the low-levels, such as a Portal or three.
I don't really see any point in setting this up in Outland just because it's not being used much - That just means that it'll be trickier to get any sort of community up and running there, as opposed to Northrend: Alot of people seems to be involved in Northrend in one way or another, meaning that getting excuses, background, etc... for already existing guilds and characters to drop by the Battleground would be far simpler. In short, more activity.

Gotta side with Hogral here. Dragging people off to Outlands seems like it would be more hassle than value, where as Northrend is a location people are already actively exploring, and fits better with our current storyline on the server.

I think they may differ a little. Arathi was more event based and the new War zone would be in constant conflict and by participating one risks IC death or maiming.

I wasn't around for Arathi personally, that was during my break. That said, many of the staff still remember it, and when we're putting in Wintergrasp, or whatever area we put in, we'll be taking the experiences we gained from that event and making changes as necessary to keep things sane here.
