Another good thing would be that once we get approved, we could ask/add items with stats... Because it sucks to farm an item which requires rep farm just to put some fancy enchant to represent what it looks like ICly. x.x'

I do like the idea, though, as I love writing profiles c:
I like that idea, but... would the set be real gear? Or RP gear?

And by limiting it to a set, do you mean they can .addrp a certain amount of itmes based on how many item slots there are, not including rings trinkets etc.?

Similar to how players can only .scale a certain amount of times. If this were a possibility how would this be viewed?

It would be a bit alienating to peons. I personally would have joined anyways, because I loved the idea of what you guys represented, but I did debate with myself and Twilight about it for a while before we decided to come to the server.

I also like Lunaxy's idea, because I -do- PvE and I'd really like to be able to look fine and deal out damage without having to change my clothing. =(
That idea is awesome, Rigs.

I approve.

this would basically return to the Silver token system, in which each approved character received 10 silver tokens which could be used to obtain any non-legendary items.

The .addrpitem system was put in place to replace the Silver tokens, so I'm not sure...

I donno, I think 2k gold is enough for raiding gear.
I dunno, if we were able to do that I would be pretty tempted to just get the best PvE gear over RP gear XD

And then where would be the fun in PvE if we just obliterated everything?
I don't believe the command will ever be used to add stated gear, no.

To clarify this would mean that characters could add one complete set of gear to their character, but could not add any more until approved. This is RP gear, as it is now. Approval will just unlock as many .addrp commands as they wish.
I don't refer to the raid gear!

What I refer to, is that we could add actual RP items with stats, for IC purposes. (Even if was a limited amount) -- Example, my newest character, Naria. She's able to enchant her sword with fire, and I'd love to add the Sunfire enchant to her sword ( The Sunbreaker ) to represent what exactly it is ICly. But... To get a stated version of that sword, I'd need to rep farm with the shattered sun offensive, and all that = Boring as heck.
I'm still fairly certain that wouldn't be done, if only due to how it would likely be much more time-consuming to sort out certain items to be stat'd and addable but not others.

I don't find a problem with differentiating peons from active members. MOSTLY because this encourages peons to actually make profiles and try to become actual members of the server.

The thing is, -most- people do try to become more than peons, as it's not that hard to do, and this method would insure that you guys do get a set of armor... it just means that if you wants more, you have to strive to get more.

Perhaps it could be like that Silver Token system? I'm not certain what exactly it was, as I joined when the .addrpitem command was already used.

Probably something like, you buy [item] for x gold and trades [item] with a GM for 1~3 items with stats, as long as they aren't... super epic. AKA gronzhelg high blade of the silver hand. (Is that how you even write it?)
That's what the token system was, in essence. You bought them for gold and traded them for any item below legendary. I find myself wondering if, now that we have the Bronze Token Exchange component, we couldn't have a similar component subtract "tokens" or gold from a character and add items. I guess it depends on what part of the database the program hooks into.
The silver token system was a system by which players could acquire gear. Upon becoming a grunt and having profiles approved, you would be granted a set number of tokens. You could also purchase more tokens for a considerable amount of gold. In order to obtain the gear, you had to know the ID of the piece that you wanted, write out a ticket, and hope that a staff member would be available and online to answer your ticket.

It's wasn't a bad system, but it wasn't perfect. .addrp allows us to acquire roleplaying pieces without going through the hassle of the middleman.
That'd be interesting. Some sort of token system that adds amount of "Times" you can .add items to your inventory, perhaps?
I for one would love this system. Doran's tailoring would have a use for once. I could play him how I originally intended. A traveling clothes merchant.

I don't think I was around for the days of silver tokens. I vaguely remember my days as a peon, but I'm sure it was a great system. It has my support alright! Though I think if custom patterns could be made for those of us who tailor/leatherwork/blacksmith would be great. More options to sell means more customers!... I hope...
