Opinions about the Dragonsworn
#16
Granted, that would work and is an interesting idea, but takes away the key difference between the cult and the Dragonsworn, The interaction with the dragon itself. none the less i like the cult idea though.

There in lies the problem. Why/how would you have contact with the dragons, unless it was something you've been doing since like... birth? The problem with that, is you'd be creating a character specifically for the prestige class, something we don't allow people to do.

It sounds interesting, sure, but to be -very- blunt here, I don't think this would happen. I know people are telling us not to dash it away quickly, but really, a dragonsworn is something that we don't need on CoTH right now. It's such a difficult class to be a part of, it's difficult to get it running with one person... and involves dragons. It's extremely hard to incorporate this into RP, as typically we don't give people "extra" junk with the title, unless it's something relatively simple like... well, giving them an available title.

It's hard to represent in game, it's hard for us to regulate, it's difficult to come up with a non-amazing background/reason for it...

I just can't see it happening, sorry.

alright, thank you for the clarification.

That's a poor reason to reject the class.

Though it may be hard to get in contact with someone, it doesn't mean it's impossible. If you're going to just use that excuse, why let anyone get anything that may be rare, heck, prestige is rare period.

Dragonsworn aren't dragons, they're close followers to dragons. The only connection between a Dragonsworn being a dragon is the one rumor that Dragonsworn are the ancestors of Dragonkin, or something like that. But it's just a rumor.

As I've said in my earlier post, Green dragon sworn would be the most common, as it's usually druids and many are Kal'dorei.

Anything else would be obscenely hard since the person would either have to find and devote their life to the dragon, or do something truely worth mentioning and from what I know, on CotH, we're not allowed to do anything that fits that criteria. Otherwise, refer to my post made earlier for reasons why a Dragonsworn would be around, or wouldn't. It's not an argument of rarity, it's an argument of secrecy.
It puts the grammar in the RP or else it gets the hose again...

We just do not allow them. Don't argue with it, please.

Really, me saying something beyond "no" was a courtesy to the person that asked the question. What you call a poor excuse, is really close to what you've said/pondered on, however it was veiled by your ill attempt to read what I said. Yes, I said it -could- happen, but as I said much like you did, it'd have to be a long established relationship, something that couldn't be pulled off without having a character already established. NOW, again, we do not allow people to make a character as a straight prestige class, for this reason alone; -they'd already be somehow established-, rather than earning the rank like we encourage.

Now, I could have just said "no means no", but I felt an elaboration was needed for what I said, and oddly enough it was damn near exactly what you had said, except you seemed to have only saw that I did say now.

Now, here's another reason we aren't going to allow the class. Because we've already said no. That should be -more- than enough reason.

Edit: And, locked. Question was answered, and I can see this getting just... worse.
