Remaking my pally as a Worgen? ( A discussion on Worgen )

They ain't immune to the Plague, so it wouldn't be far-fetched for one to be a worgen.

Correction, Paladins are immune to all diseases, magical and natural. They can only be risen as a Death Knight etc. Or willingly become one during life.

Yea
But, a Worgen Paladin does have a chance of happening as the Worgen do believe in the light, which is all thats needed (along with heavy armor) to be a paladin.

Worgen pally should be possible but lets keep in mind that Paladin is not avalible to Worgen as a class. I'm assuming once the change happens the human becomes to closely bound to the shadow magics that corrupted them like what happed to the forsaken. Cant be sure though. Who knows, maybe by the time the expantion comes out Worgen pallys will be playable. I saw a forum where some players were complaining that Horde got more class/race combinations

Seems like some game balance to make up for druids, but maybe some day we can have Wolfman as a warrior of justice.

So thanks to Nexi, some beta leeks were found that expose how the worgen curse is passed along...

Drum roll please

it is passed along though conventional werewolf means. -.- bite or scratch... means you get all fuzzy later.

Link to the beta leek she gave me. Thanks nexi. Still doesn't explain worgen death knights but it does make turning my pally into one a lot easier.

/Sigh

I officially hate Blizzard now. For multiple reasons. But this is the final hair from the head, really. They have dumbed down their own lore so much that it honestly feels like they are catering to Twilight fans. Instead of -logically- thinking shit out they are going to go the lazy route and do the a-typical "HAY I WAS BITTEN BY A WUURWOLF" route?

Gee, someone give them a round of applause, because we all know they only did that because they are so tangled in their own garbage lore that they can't get out of the web without feeding BS to people that actually have read what they give us. It's great to know that they -still- cater to the ignorant masses when it comes to this sort of crap.

Wouldn't want those millions of people to actually have to think or ask why, now would we?

Maybe they should do a restart?

Hur hur hurrrr

To be more on topic I'll respond to the timeline Therew sent me.
Quote:- Served as a pally in Lordaron until he was sent to northrend last year ( around the time I logged off for a year)

- In nothrend he was ordered to investigate the Worgen there.

- He gets caught by the worgen town and for his "Crimes" he is cursed and locked up until insanity takes him.

-made to kill the team he worked with for "sport and entertainment" of the ones who turned him

-after death of lich king his fate is learned and he is "rescued" but at that state of mind he was captured.

-With gilneas rejoining the alliance around the time he is captured he is sent there to receive treatment where he is given control of his body again but sanity is in question.

What do you think? Think by chance I could get this approved so I can remake my human pally as a worgen Warrior?

I do think this could be possible, but mind that you wouldn't be able to play the character until we actually update to Cataclysm, which might be a drag if you're not the patient type. I also think this kind of explanation could be used on Worgen Death Knights if they become an issue, maybe the Gilneans decide to try to free as many from the curse that they can, or something?

XD Yea that time line was a bit of a stretch, more fan fic material than rp material. But when it comes to patience, I'm patient enough. You wouldn't believe how much time went into some of my characters. Well maybe you would since well you read some of what I write Nostra. 18 pages and still not finished, and thats just his history. Don't get me started on personality and what not. I kinda decided to trash that time line since worgen carry their curse like conventional werewolves. All I have to do now to get garren to turn is at some point in time put him near gilneas and he good as howling at the moon. Or for that matter put him near felwood and let one of the worgen there hit him up side the head once or twice. Just when I start to think i am going to have to give up on a fun idea, blizzard goes and jumps the shark (again) and leaves me with something easy to work with.

Cant say I like much of anything blizzard calls Lore, but that doesn't mean I cant have fun with it. :D The pally character will probably sit on his hands till the expansion comes out, unless I can think of something to do with a human pally. Character was fun but I put so little work into him when I first made him, (made him just to get vouches) that I had no plan for what to do with him when the Lambent died. Lambent is not alive anymore... now what to do with him?

*sigh* I can see it now. Many, many PMs and forum posts from people asking if they can turn their human characters to worgen. As if we don't get enough of that already with undead.

My personal suggestion is if someone wants to change an existing character to one of the two, they'll need to make a story explaining how it happened, kind of like Prestige classes.

The reason Grak and the other GMs sigh tiredly at the mention of it is because the convoluted story your transformation would entail is suitable for a WoW official novel. (See: Broxxigar going back in time to fight the Burning Legion and becoming an Orcish legend/time paradox before his birth, or Rhonin doing anything at all.).

Unless there's been a big change that I'm not aware of, the policy with regards to race changes has always been a simple "No." That said, the only feasible one before now was Human -> Forsaken.

As far as Worgen...I wouldn't place any bets that you'd be able to race change from Human to Worgen. I don't know how we'll handle this, though I'm sure it will be discussed. Likely, a lot of things will factor into this, like what the Worgen human-form model looks like, and how we might be able to rationalize non-Gilnaean Worgen not being crazy insane.

Sorry for the dismay. It's going to be a headache either way, though.
