The thing is, a 'prestige' class in itself is being 'bigger, stronger, tougher or deadlier.'
The reason we don't have any non-combat prestige classes (I assume) is because...well...being those things doesn't necessarily makes your character 'more advanced' that other players.
Your class has to make you more specialized in combat, otherwise it's just a status. An example would be two characters in the Bloodsworn Honorguard, Kathorg and Drumgar. Kathorg, is the leader of the Honorguarrd, and is a Warlord of the Horde armies. That's a status symbol. You don't go through prestige training to acquire a status symbol. Your status in COTH's society are determined by your in game actions and character background. Meanwhile, Drumgar, one of his soldiers, has the Gladiator prestige class. This prestige class has little impact on his standing in society. It just makes him a better fighter than most people.
Whether your character is renowned as a 'Casanova' or a 'Tycoon' depends entirely on in-game actions, or your characters background. There's no way to really train to be a 'Casanova' (Which would be silly if you could) or a 'Tycoon' (Which would be boring if you could).
Also, the fact that these characters can dictate how an opposing player would respond to them...isn't exactly good.
'You want to fight me? Okay, I'm going to bribe you and we won't fight!' 'But...I'm a Troll who doesn't use money...at all' 'TOO BAD! PRESTIGE CLASS!'.
Or...
'Hey there baby, my character's a Casanova, so you're in love with me.' 'But...my character's married. And has children!' 'TOO BAD! PRESTIGE CLASS!'
Or...
'Alright, so we're fighting eachother. Since I'm a Casanova, I'm going to playfully wink at you to distract you. That means I get a reroll!' 'But...my character is a Tauren...and yours is a Gnome...why would that distract me? If anything, it would make me want to kill you more...' 'TOO BAD! PRESTIGE CLASS!'
I don't mean to say you 'can't' do this. But...prestige classes only revolve around combat for a reason.
Quote:I suppose, I just thought the actual process of RPing out becoming a Prestige was the fun part, not the bonuses
Oh? Well then, by all means, just start a topic and start roleplaying your character acquiring money, or seducing some character. You don't need a prestige class to do that, if you're doing it for the fun.
Edit: Oh, and while I'm on the subject. Technically...any race could be a 'Casanova' or a 'Tycoon'. Not only the 'pretty' ones. I mean, a Tauren could be a sly seductive dog (To his race). And a Tauren might be wealthier than many other people. It depends on the character and his background.
