The Artisan Society
#1
The Artisan Society

1. Origin

A rainy day at the Goblin town of Booty Bay, the only place to hide from the rain is the inn. The Salty Sailor's Tavern filled with people, crowd everywhere, the drunks cheering. In a shadowy corner, a tiny candle as the only source of light, sit two Gnomes - Nirle and Kirabo. As the two caught up over passed jobs and adventures, an idea was formed. Go less legal, and seek the true adventure of the darker side of society. The group welcomes those that seek the adventure of espionage and other such activities.

2. Goals

Many would assume their goal was money, or fame. Alas, it is just the thrill of adventure, sneaking, not necessarily on the right side of the law.

3. IC Rules

Number one: Keep your assignment a secret. The whole goal of the Society is secrecy.
Number two: Treat fellow members as brothers and sisters.
Number three: Debrief after every action.

3. OOC Rules

Mostly every rule present on CotH, mainly focusing on the 'Respect' section.

4. How to join

The first feat would be to merely find Nirle or Kirabo. They won't just be in the middle of the street, waving to you. This way, they will test your skills of gathering intelligence, and using it cunningly to reach your goals. Then, you are to approach us undetected, and greet us.

The second feat is your first mission. It will probably be some sort of infiltration achievement, though it may vary from pickpocketing, to robbery.

The third and final feat is the initiation itself. Supposed to test your abilities, it consists of three requirements:
- A Society Artisan must be able to scale walls and buildings with ease, and without making too much noise.
- A Society Artisan must be able to sneak past the observers, be it the most sharpeyed ones.
- A Society Artisan must be able to wield weapons or cast spells at a decent level, for his/her own protection.

5. A few words

If you feel you are up for it, do as mentioned and you will be given a chance. 'Till then!
"Good roleplaying is not equivalent to saying that your character is not interested or molded for a certain situation.
Quite the contrary - good roleplaying is making up a reason for your character to do that thing, no matter the obstacles!"
