A very intriguing romance on a day-to-day basis.

I voted day-to-day role-play and combat.

Combat: I truly enjoy events like Brutalskars'(<3), and I'd love to do conquest RP here on CotH! (Imagine a bunch of mercenaries/soldiers/bandits/pirates running into a city, plundering, slaughtering, and stuff!)

Day-to-day: This is some of the most enjoyable RP I have on my main, Coriv. I don't know, but I think it adds alot to realism and "shapes" a character well to see what he does in his everyday routine.

Ticked Adventure and Day-to-day.

Adventure. Why? It just brings randomness and fun to the next level. Is it going to be a giant spider trying to suck your guts out? Will it be a diamond-aligning riddle with hidden diamonds you have to find first?

Day-to-day. Because it's just a very nice way to develop your character, meet new people and try new things.

Day-to-day adventure. Now that's what I'm talking about! Enter a dungeon. Fight off angry Naga. Make a camp and wait for tomorrow. Repeat step 1 and 2.

Quite the contrary - good roleplaying is making up a reason for your character to do that thing, no matter the obstacles!"

Everything so long as it involves Kittens.

I'll let you think about that.

Day-to-day is starting to bore me, as of late. I'm rather useless at Romance RP so I don't often go for it. I like intrigue, though I don't tend to do that often.

Mine is a mixture of adventure and combat RP. I don't know what it is, but it just grips me. Which is ironic given that I'm a fairly timid person. But with that said, I do prefer it when there's a storyline behind it rather than mindless smashing. As long as it's interesting and I get to conquer things... I'm down with it.

Adventure RP I like that Day to day too but I'll choose Adventure RP.

Generally, it ends up being day-to-day leading to combat.

Intrigue with cats?
Day-to-day life with cats?
Adventure with cats?

...

...

Romance with cats?

Due to being unable to pick a single favorite type, I'll just say what I think about 'em all.

Combat? Do you enjoy going forth and crushing your enemies? Do you enjoy fighting others, be it player or NPC?

Combat's great, so long as it provides characters the opportunity to be epic, and do awesome things - and so long as it does not drag on for too long.

I dislike trust combat for the reason above mentioned - I'd like characters to do things occasionally over-the-top-ish in manner, and I do not trust myself not to overdo it. Therefore, I enjoy roll combat the most, because no one can argue with a roll. It's impartial.

Adventure? Do you enjoy exploring new places, like delving dungeons? Do you enjoy finding new places to go?

I enjoy adventures, though not exploration or dungeon-delving. I mean, I like having characters travel about and either go sight-seeing or on mini-'quests' relevant to the storyline they're playing out, but not to the lines of cartography or dungeoneering.

Intrigue? Do you enjoy solving mysteries? Do you enjoy politics and matching wits with others?

I -love- this type of RP. It's amazingly entertaining, and based solely on the intellect of the players involved. That being said, it can end up disappointing if meta-gaming is present.

But yes, mystery, politics, assassination, coups, spying, documents, infiltration, every single one of those tickles me pink.

Romance? Do you enjoy forming relationships with other characters? Do you like seeing your characters find their true love?

I'm a sucker for Romance RP, and I like havin' it at least once in a while. 'S fun! It leads to character development, and allows players to explore another facet of their character.

That said, I don't think Romance should take up the majority of RP, instead, it should be interspersed with adventures and 'downtime'.

Day-to-Day? Do you enjoy simply going about the normal lives of your characters? Do you enjoy sitting and chatting in taverns?

Yup! I believe this kind of RP is great for fleshing out a character beyond the usual 'I hit things with swords/arrows/magic and hate X'. One particularly pleasant experience for me is RPing in a character's house, or perhaps visiting some research institute or just chats and socializing, or maybe catching up with old friends.

All in all, however, I like my role-play to be, above all, -balanced-, between its aspects. Having happy moments, horror-worthy moments, combat, adventures, life-threatening moments, and delightfully comfortable and relaxing ones too, in just the right amount...
