Random Fun-facts about your characters.
#1
Well! Since the last thread that Saiyuu made sadly died and was pulled into the dark abyss that a forum can be at times, I've decided to make a new thread, and I don't want to Necro' a thread months gone.

So! Random tid-bits and junk about your character.

And I can't stress how important it is that this -stays- here. No metagaming whatever you find here, even if it does point straight to a major character weakness or whatever. Seriously.

Elydia Moistmeadow
Spoiler:
  • Contrasting to her otherwise patient and calm nature, she has a bit of a competitive outlook.
  • She's actually really good with a bow, no match for a proper Hunter of course.
  • She loves her hairband. A lot. Enough to get violent if you damaged it.
  • Her hate of Blood Elves is diluted based on the ideal that they were once Night Elves themselves, and could be 'fixed'.
  • She doesn't have a mount of any kind.

Elanor Skylight
Spoiler:
  • Elanor rarely uses her real name, prefering to use 'Allania' instead.
  • Elanor actually prefers the colours blue and green, but wears purple and gold to avoid anyone recognizing her from her past.
  • Elanor's daughter, Aimee, got her name from her great grandmother.
  • Elanor actually has a great degree of fear and hate of Undead, but is usually too composed for most Forsaken to notice.
  • Though she dislikes wearing a lot of make up, she sometimes dresses up to feel pretty, even if she just removes it before leaving home.
  • Elanor's favourite spells are Blink, Slow, Frost Nova, and Cone of Cold.

Rydanovich Adrian
Spoiler:
  • Rydanovich's prefered method of killing is impalment and plague use.
  • Rydanovich designed his armour entirely to be both protective and terrifying.
  • He often carves the names of people who have fallen in the line of duty or while doing good into his pauldrons.
  • Much of the facial damage he has suffered was done by his own hand, to ensure he was as inhuman as possible to those he hunted.
  • Rydanovich motiviates himself with the unrealistic dream that he'll one day be alive again and can return to his family.
  • Rydanovich's temper is matched only by his brutality and ruthlessness.
  • Rydanovich often marches a fine line between good and evil, often leaning too far toward evil than he cares to notice.
  • Secretly, Rydanovich has a crush on his best friend Djim, but refuses to consider anything of it out of fear he'd be both rejected and betraying his wife.

Maida Pierce
Spoiler:
  • Has an overwhelming need to feel useful, to the point of being a martyr.
  • Often spends her 'off-duty time' alone in an abandoned house, staring at the wall while she plots new ways to be useful.
  • Had a fondness for the colours blue and green, but since death has changed that view to purple and gray.
  • Spent most of her life being abused and degraded. Death was an improvement.
  • Looks up to the Dark Lady as a sort of mother figure.
  • Absolutely despises cats, to the point of violence.

Anson Parker
Spoiler:
  • Despite his lack of tolerance for Undead in any form, his tolerance greatly increases around Human Death Knights.
  • Bears an extreme level of control over his emotions, though even he feels need to cry now and again.
  • Secretly wishes to find love, though doubts his line of work would ever allow it.
  • Once swore an oath never to draw blood, he has broken this well over a thousand times, since the second war.
  • Had his libram and each of its pages forged entirely of silver, using the weight to remind him of the burdon he carries.
  • Absolutely despises the Horde races, though his views of Draenei and Night Elves are not much better.

I'm game for this, yep.

Let's see, then.

Talesta:
Spoiler:
  • Loves chocolate. Enough to spend an absurd amount of money on it.
  • Has a liking for musicians.
  • Wears make up, contrary to popular belief.
  • Spends roughly two hours per morning getting her hair set up properly.
  • Works out at midnight, every single night.

Kelar Dawnblaze:
Spoiler:
  • Is a pyromaniac, to some extent.
  • Has a monocle and a cane-sword.
  • Was an alcoholic, now simply enjoys whiskey and leather couches.
  • Dyed his hair. Original is blonde.
  • Secretly worships the elemental lords of Azeroth, even if in a minor way.
  • Researches things related to the Old Gods and the elemental lords on his spare time.

Sherai Duskstep:
Spoiler:
  • Loves cookies. Chocolate chip, specifically.
  • Is married to her animal companion. Her engagement ring is pierced into her right ear.
  • Loves to hug Tauren.
  • Believes herself to be an animal trapped in the body of a Blood Elf.
  • Tends to act like an animal when alone.

All I have for now.
What happens if a bowl of Tauren spills into Wednesday on a bed of six o'clock?

Camillia 'Breakblade' Firescribe
- Following the death of her mother and imprisonment of her father, Camillia dawned the surname of Breakblade as to deter anyone still looking for her.
- Despite being a Blademistress, Camillia still urns to eventually settle down and start a family.
- Where she was trained to use three different sashes in combat, her personal favorite would be the green holder sash.
- Camillia prefers politics and debate over reducing to combat, though she is still well open to challengers.

Spoiler:
Grace
- Enjoys singing. Despite never taking formal lessons, she spends most of her free (and alone) time singing. She's self-conscious about this, however, and refuses to let anyone know she sings.
- Has a secretive fascination for the culture of the Night Elves pre-Sundering. Such is the same about Argus pre-Sargeras. She keeps this in the dark as well, though.
- Scared witless by cats, of any size. She's never visited northern Kalimdor solely for this reason, and much prefers dogs to cats.
- Despite the fact that she prefers her revolver, she's a much better shot with a semi-automatic rifle. She just considers these guns cumbersome, and rarely uses hers.
- Takes more after her father then her mother, physically.

  • Hates to depend on other races than Orcs, particularily Alliance races and Elves.
  • Struggles with several prejudices against non-Warsong Orcs, even though he no longer considers himself Warsong.

Maleeka

Spoiler:
  • Drinks water, despite being unable to taste it.
  • Has a fear of Orcs, which she expresses as hatred.
  • Still believes in the Light, feeling abandoned by everything else.

Eh, why not?

Rigley
Spoiler:
-Married once, now in a second marriage.

-Once hunted sharks on a bike with floatation devices strapped to the sides.

-Thrown out of the navy for mental instability when he was found chewing and beating on a shark he had reeled onto the boat's deck.

-His dad was a paladin, and Rigley was meant to be one as well.

-Didn't develop his unusual romantic attraction until after the death of his first wife.

-Cuts his hair and beard every few months. Trims his beard down and ties his hair into a ponytail, then just lops off the tail.

-Originally was meant to go into aviation, but took up nautical work from his spouse.

-Has the skeletal frame of an crab-based spiderbot stuck away in his storage room at home.

-Once developed a mechanical flower boquet.

-Once was injured by a metal flower.

Endling
Spoiler:
-Likes being around large men (for protection, obviously).

-Has lost three candelabras thus far.

-Adores Elven architecture and comforts. Also a fan of Sin'dorei fashion.

-Lugs around a travel-bag of clothes when relocating to a different place of temporary residence.

-Wants a hug.

-Even though undead and a devout priestess Endling is extremely vain, and most of her attempts to shield herself are out of the knee-jerk reaction to protect her unmarred face rather than actually prevent damage to her body. As a result of this her arms are not only burned by use of the Light, but covered in scars and gouges.

-Has only recently taken to wearing shoes since her regaining of the sense of feeling.

-Her prolonged use of the Light has granted her senses back in some capacity, though since taste is back as well she commonly appears unwell unless consciously forcing a placid look.

-Spends up to two hours making herself presentable when morning comes. Commonly takes about an hour to do this again a few times throughout the day.

-Once had a date with Clovis. It didn't go well.

Drena Tends to find nicknames for people. Has a right leg one cm bigger than the left leg. Does NOT have a beard. Also fascinated by pre-Sundering Kaldorei culture.

Emma Spends hours getting made up, is obsessed by fashion. Once unmade up three times because she was displeased with the color of her cheeks. Tends to think in terms of colors. Whenever in trouble, tends to blabber. Clutters blink sigils everywhere she is to get around quicker. Ever since having met Craer's wife, just says she prefers girls whenever confronted by an angry female. Is often teleported around by said Craer. Once killed a Felguard with a wand and had nightmares for week afterwards. OOCly is born off a MLP joke.

Whirlenda Has a workshop under her house in Ironforge where she keeps her most prized inventions. Addicted to that new drink named coffee. Is hyperactive!

Melina Dreams of being normal again, and struggles against her condition. Fruitlessly. Also thinks DKs are a much higher race. Is usually very conflicted. Speaks in riddles or questions. Tries her best to feign happiness when really she is not. OOCly mistaken EACH SINGLE TIME for a Quel'dorei. ICly too, mind you.

Koora Speaks with a strong Draenei accent but can speak terribly well when in her moments. Is bipolar. Is weaker minded, and often has nightmares. Is a slave and has a brand on her left flank. Tends to greet people by saying "Ees gewd pooleh".

Halani Likes to sharpen her horns. Exercices her body! Is sometimes taken over by an elemental spirit. Likes, against all odds, gnomish poker. And gnomes.

Alanthe Very calm and secretive. Never, ever, looses her coolness. Tends to worship her blade, and cares for it as if it were her mate.

The other are just a bit too young for me to discern any patterns, willing or not ;)
Allons-y!

Mokaku:

Spoiler:
- Avoids Booty Bay like the plague not only due to the type of people who reside there, but due to someone deciding to play a prank on him.
- Refuses to put on a shirt and ignores the comments about it. Life on the Darkspear Isles didn't require him to wear one, so he doesn't see reason to change.
- Has died once already due to his own recklessness, and is currently on a path of atonement.
- Does secretly suffer from loneliness at times, but does his best to ignore these feelings.
- Holds the Wind as his favourite element.
- Has acquired a love for pasta due to a Zariel Novalight.
- Has Blood Elf friends, and has spent a couple of days in Silvermoon. Shocking, right?
- Despite wanting Azeroth to be at peace, there is a part of him wanting to see the Alliance burn until they are a mere memory.

Draknir

Spoiler:
- If he wasn't a Blademaster, he would likely be a Pyremaster. He loves Fire.
- Despises being inactive or having to sit around with nothing to do, and is easily angered if he's not able to spend his energy.
- His dream is to be a legend in The Horde's history, and will never stop at trying to be one of the greatest warriors.
- Though not quite submissive, he has an easier time of heeding a woman's advice or is more willing to calm himself in their presence subconsciously.
- Has a spirit that is very hard to dampen, and where many might lose hope, Draknir clings onto it.
- Can get very irritated at the type of people who would face a dragon and insult their mother, or something similar, and tends to lose a sense of teamwork when forced to work with them.
- He views sensitivity as a sign of weakness, and doesn't often show that side of him.

Tzekel

Spoiler:
I don't care if he isn't made. I'm making a list for him!

- Once had a crush on a Troll woman back home, but lost her. She's about the only thing he can remember flawlessly, and still misses her.
- Is quite scared of most people he meets, no matter what race. He's generally submissive to a lot of people.
- Will completely freak out if he believes he's going to be captured due to being enslaved by Goblins.
- Has a low intelligence and little grasp of a language, but likes listening to people talk.
- He has a natural instrinct to shield people from harm, despite most people he meets being jerks.
- When meeting new people, will often attempt to hide himself behind objects that couldn't even hide his arm. If there is no cover around, then he'll resort to closing his eyes and whimpering.
- Finds music to be very soothing, and enjoys the company of people who can play instruments.

Jean

+ One of six children, the only which is a girl.
+ Finds her self checking out muscled men, no matter what the race.
+ Strength is one of the only ways for another race to earn Jean's respect.
+ Has a wonderful set of taste buds.
+ Has a sweet spot for cooking. People know she can cook, but do they know she actually enjoys it?
+ Cannot. Read.

Remyl
  • His first wife was his one true love, and to this day he regrets that things didn't work out. He carries a stone ring that she got for him at all times, formerly using it to tie his hair, and currently wearing it on a chain under his clothes.
  • His fifth wife was an Orc. It was Ratchet. He was drunk, she was drunk, they found a Goblin who was happy to accept their coin to "perform the ceremony" (it wasn't a real one, but Remyl counts it anyway). When they woke up the next morning, the Orc realized what she had done, and immediately chased him with an axe to try and kill him while both were still undressed. He made it to the pier and on a boat to Stranglethorn before she could catch up. Remyl had to work on the boat doing menial tasks for both clothes and passage.

Jonoth
  • Once had Lady Bruhara D'Argent as a passenger on his vessel. He neither then nor now knows that she was partly raised by his uncle, who had written the journal she learned fel magic from.
  • He is also unaware that his grandfather Sir Rhodyngar Shyemlye, who was his inspiration to become a military man, is currently returned to life as a Death Knight.

Tun'kar
  • Tun'kar's sister was able to procure Tun'kar's axe due to her relationship with one of their Human captors. It was kept secret from everyone, and when she was taken to be executed and tortured neither she nor her lover acknowledged the relationship.

Dunkhaan
  • Though he presumes them dead after they volunteered to remain behind in Shattrath when the Orcs sacked the city, Dunkhaan's parents are still alive as Broken, though their memory of their lives is largely gone after years of mental degeneration. They may only vaguely recall having a son.

Annabelle Greene
Spoiler:
Very much a home maker, despite her vigilantism. Her cooking usually consists of very heavy foods that are a mix of Elwynn farm cooking and rich Alteracian dishes, with a dash of Ironforge hardiness.

Seems to be the only spark of obvious good in her family. On her father's side you have the Bisens. On her mother's side, we at least know she has Sir Tressian W. van Ravenholdt as a cousin. She calls him Tresses, and loves watching him squirm when she hugs him.

Loves the look on sin'dorei faces when she surprises them by knowing Thalassian after faking not understanding. She uses this to troll as much as possible. Her Thalassian is very well conversational, but her accent is thick. She won't be reading or writing complex poetry.

Has ended up having more sin'dorei than human friends. This has rendered her a tad awkward around human company.

Loves the drink, though she is in control enough to not render herself alcoholic. This can either be blamed on a childhood in Ironforge, or her Bisen blood. Will readily engage in drinking contests.

Mar'waz
Spoiler:
Loves smoking. A lot. If you want to flatter her, bring her a box of colorful herbs.

She thinks she is downright hot.

Loves dressing up in finery as a bit of a joke to the more "civilized" races. Any fancy dress will be torn and "customized" to store all her voodoo-related trinkets.

Loves trolling (har) the more beautiful races by flirting with them. Especially elves. Expect to hear lots of jokes about eating them up.

Despite all the flair, she wishes to be a mother. This has been rendered currently impossible due to her swearing of her first born's soul to her master. Until she does, her soul is owed to him. Her only constant father figure, killing him to get out the situation is undesirable.

She has a phobia of crickets.

Zephyaluu
Spoiler:
A beastmistress, she has tattooed her torso with her favorite animals from the various planets the draenei have visited.

Very polite and lady-like. While being close to the fauna of a world, she considers the savagery a phase she has passed through. Yes, she will take a sugar in her tea while riding on the back of her nightsaber, thank you.

Her mate is a paladin-brewmaster-tinkerer. She considers this a joke of the naaru, despite her adoration of him.

Her pupils (if dranei have those) are always dilating and contracting, even the tiniest bit. Not unlike an animal's. Her fangs are a tad longer and sharper than usual.

She lacks the gold bands one usually sees on a draenei's tail and tentacles. Instead, leather bands decorate, inscribed with various draeneic religious symbols. Feathers dangle from these.

Nuadon Duskshield
Spoiler:
Her militaristic rigidness and fondness of orders comes from the guilt of her parents' deaths. She was not there when they died in Southwind Village, as she was assigned to guard duty for being too brash in battle. The War of the Shifting Sands was her first war, and it showed.

She hates sin'dorei (and most Horde folk) like your usual kaldorei. However, she is a peacekeeper and defender. She will prefer to chase the traitor elf (or whatever) out of whatever kaldorei territory it is in rather than kill it. Woe betide the sin'dorei that tries to test her defensiveness, considering it fear.

Her hair is a very light blue. Not pure moonlight radiant sparkly silver like the model.

Her sexism is subtle. While she shows druids and men the proper respect of whatever station they may be in, she will invariably treat them like damsels in distress, fragile things to be protected.

She loves nightsaber kittens. A lot.

Her favorite hobby is playing the lyre, or other harp-like instruments.

Ashley:
  • That locket she has does indeed contain old pictures of her parents; however she isn't looking for them nor for her lineage.
  • Personally considers herself a murderer, but has never killed anyone that wasn't obviously evil.
  • Likes to brew up odd potions and poisons and sometimes test them on a victim. By test I mean she always has a possible antidote to test. If it doesn't work, well... whoopsie and that's progress for research.
  • Still paranoid about Leanne (Diandra's mother) catching her.
  • It was her who stole Leanne's cookies, not that other poor slave girl that was later sold off and never heard from again...
  • Blonde. 'Nuff said.

Diandra:
  • Hates pink and hates dresses. Hates pink dresses even more.
  • Behaves completely differently while in armor, rather than plain clothes.
  • Is totally bad at being romantic or flirty or anything of the sort, but she isn't clueless.
  • Likes men accepting her as an equal, rather than like just a woman in armor.
  • Kitchen jokes? YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!
  • Wants a normal family with two kids and to live somewhere on a farm till she grows old.

Keeva:
  • Blames Humans for everything bad that has ever happened to her. EVERYTHING.
  • Doesn't really hate Humans as much as she claims.
  • Uses hatred and racism to cover up for her own insecurities, xenophobia and technophobia.
  • Has a kinder sister... somewhere (and by kinder I mean as a total opposite of Keeva). Is she even alive?
  • Forever alone.
