DKs can no longer summon their armor
#16
I can understand it better if it was a class like a warmage (which would be like a Warrior using magic to strengthen his physical attacks, not to be confused with battlemage which is a mage using purely magic to attack) because then you might make the excuse of not actually teleporting your armor, but rather using magic to make your simple clothes into the more sturdy armor you need. Even that however is a stretch in my oppinion.

I do it all the time on my melee-willing mage. I find it's a much smaller deal than many of the big arcane spells.

Edit: Something similar on the Shadow Hunter too, the Rush'kah "appearing" when called for through the spirits.

Shadow realm abuse I see why not. Are arcane or spirit-brokering too unlikely to allow for such, though?

I think it spawned from "I can summon my Charger from the Shadows, why not summon other things?", and then seeing others do it can cause new players to the class think it's possible. Because I will admit that this might've happened a few times with Kirolan.

I'll be sure to add this into my DK guide.

The only thing that DOES come to mind, now that I think of it, is a mage's ability to portal. However then, the mage would still have to have a location the item actually resided in, and would have to go through the portal, get dressed, come back out (if the portal hadn't already gone away), and all at the cost of wasting mana, making themselves very hungry and thirsty in the process. Might as well just walk home and change clothes at that point.

Except you forget one thing that is little seen in World of Warcraft, though it should be a highly discussed thing with magic: The enchantment of objects. For example, the bag known as Portable portal or some such, the 40slot bag I believe it is.

This also comes up with the hearthstone discussion. I realize that their kind of abused a lot, but I never really saw how it wasn't possible in role play to enchant an object so as to provide one way teleportation to a single location. Seemed easily fathomable to me.

I also have a similar argument with hunter traps. Instead of it being an actual mechanism to set up, why can it not simply be an a quickly placed enchantment on a nearby object, like a rock or plant, that acts as the trigger for the magical effect. And if you think that hunters do not have access to magic, then you are sorely mistaken, as their are many well set (Don't know the word, but its used as a reference) uses in which the Arcane Arrow spell is present. The trap mechanism also can be seen in the World of Warcraft novel Braveheart (not the best example but the only one I remember atm) in which Maiv Shadowsong places invisible traps via enchanted crystals placed nearby as the focal point for the trigger, and the store of mana from which the spell draws.

Death Gates.

We'll next see flash-teleports to Acherus/Home to change armor and come back for a fight.

Also, just store your armor in your Deathcharger's saddlebags, and take it out from there if it's too much of an inconvenience. /shrug.

I can see why they pointed this out. I'll admit I'm guilty as to doing both. For those who believed it to be silly/etc, I shall explain my POV so you have an idea as to why it seemed like an okay idea in my mind.

First one, monkey see monkey do, seen a death knight summon their armor onto them a countless number of times.

Second, using the shadow realm as a pocket dimension for personal equipment. My DK kept their belongings in satchels on her deathcharger, so I assumed they'd just disappear along with the horse.

I'm not disagreeing with the new rule, however, just offering my point of view for others to see.
