The Novalight Family: Third Generation

I might be up for making a character for the family.

Been wanting to roll a new character since I've been slightly inactive lately. I wouldn't mind making a family member if that's possible... Or I could try get Grisp involved with the new generation, although I haven't played that character in a heck of a long time so a new one would probably be more preferable.

Yes! I've been thinking about a few ways once we get people who are interested down. Perhaps a meeting at the Four Sun's Inn bringing the Novas back would be interesting. I'd also like for a core group to get together and then possibly search for others, like Mastus, Riael and Thalion who are out doing their own thing. Perhaps they'll answer the call but its up in the air still. This I'd just like to garner interest and show what the novas are about. I'll be doing a timeline if I figure out how, and give a synopsis of where the house stands at the start of cata so everyone will be able to move off that. Scout I am always excited for any RP you bring, I hope though that because you bring a new character or if you bring a new character you still keep Therai around. And Grisp you already know, you're one of the original players who helped get this storyline moving. I'd be happy to have any of your chars in any form!

Yes! And this is something that I've said before and really wish to go forward with this time. Second Generation I kind of had more control over the direction of the story because I was defining the History of the Family, and really trying to improve my storytelling without the use of random plot twists and things like that. I know during this time there were a lot of people who had Ideas who I didn't get to go forward with because I was trying to wrap up the Civil War. If you look at the thread, Act VI is quite long. So I'd like to encourage those who do make storylines of their own, Sadron and Bovel specifically, Grogloki and a few others who want to put their stamp on the storyline or have ideas thy want to see. I also am going to try to keep this more based on lore, perhaps having the Novalights help during a lot of the crazy stuff that happens so more people can get in on it and follow it. Its no surprise I am not a lore keeper so I could use some WowHeads. Long time ago I saw a post Xigo said which was something of the effect that he enjoyed the storylines since they were about everyone and not just Jid and Zar. Its true. During Cata Zar and Jid will probably be A-ok. So Anyone around him at the jump off point in the storyline will be gathering to look for those Novas out in the world to bring together. Also there is -alot- of opportunity for Children here. And even siblings for Jiddy II I'd at least like to have Zariel have more as well as other members. To pass the torch if you will.

Mastus's son will be a warrior class soldier for the Horde/Silvermoon helping with the fight against Twilight's hammer, the young bucks gotta get them shoes wet ya dig! lol.

Yeah Jid is going back to his retail roots, Making him a Hunter also like Jidaeo Sr before death. Those two and others will probably cause trouble. Remember as well everyone! The Novalights still have The Phoenix Dawn. A lot of fun to be had once more.

Also is anyone interested in playing Jid 2's mother. This char would need to be active. She would essentially be Zariel's wife and the matron of the House of Novalight. No over the top Romance necessary. It'd be more fun if she was a total bad ass lol.

I'm interested in rolling a Blood Elf for Cataclysm, and getting in in some Novalight action can't be a bad thing. Drop me a PM or something if you're interested in me playing the mother.

I would never abandon Therai! I just think it would be cool to play a proper character in this family.

Hnngh, not sure if want Sivak in on some of this stuff for elfrp or to renew the ties with Aroes.

If I had a choice I'd like to request Aroes renew ties. He's heavily integrated into the storyline. He was one of the first handful of people to believe Jid's Uncle's story about the skulls, garnered their trust and even gave a very nice gift to the family at the Banquet. I'm sure RP on Sivak will happen seeing how close the two houses are but hopefuly Aroes gets to pop in from time to time.

Although I would like some people to play alts, or at least have Novalight alts to flesh out the family I still would like to carry on with the stories the Novas have with your established chars as well. I'd like people to enjoy rping who they bring into the story over long periods of time for consistency in plot and moving forward. Still open to everything

If anyone ends up being interested in RPing Renorien I'd be more than happy to give you some background on how he's been played in the past, if you'd like it. I was kind of under the impression someone would make him 'new' like I did when the torch got passed on to me, but my door's always open.

From what I've seen RPing Riael with this gang, I think what we need are members of the family that act like proper nobles. Spoiled and used to luxury and freedom, looking down upon those that are not noble and demands their words listened too and respected. Caring a lot about the appearance of the family in public and so on. This doesn't mean they have to be weak or ignorant, just used to a much higher standard of life. (And might open up for people playing employees of the family too.)


EDIT: And maybe avoid swarm the family with more death knights? They are supposed to be rare lore-wise and we got at least two in the direct bloodline and one more affiliated, if I remember things correctly.
