The Novalight Family: Third Generation

Quite a bit of that has happened honestly. Jidaeo used to be particularly Noble-esque when he looked more lively. Zariel also used to be pretty ignorant and Uppity, not knowing how to groom himself really and being all around nubish. Second Generation and first are Noble stereotypes but it seems Jidaeo's children have strayed away from it. I'm up for others RPing family members of different strains. Perhaps another line of Novalights, that still are pretty snooty. The House isn't nice but they have evolved from their previous ways.

Yeah, and I'm not saying that everyone has to tie up their characters to be overbearingly decadent or demanding, but for most characters it should fit to weave in some aspects of this. Not listening to trolls and greenskins when they talk, refusing to drink or eat anything served by non-elves, commenting and considering other races cultures ignorant and crude but not all at once (pick and choose!) and the list can be made even longer.

Riael for example was made to be the antithesis of a blood elven noble, made that way just to be a stark contrast and a problem for the family. Black sheep!

To be honest the Novalight's are how they are because they're unique. There's a ton of turmoil in the past that adds depth to the characters and gives a deep rich background for people to RP in. I think it would make the House rather lame if there were "normal" nobles running the show. The face of the Novalight's has noble dashes here and there in the sense that you're thinking but I like the tainted past. Zariel tends to his duties as a Lord should but at the same time he enjoys adventure. We're not a House full of black sheep's, we're the black sheep House. I've always pictured the Novalight's more like the mob, people know they're nobles and know they do shady things but nothing is ever brought forward into the light. Even among other nobles they're more respected for there "troubled" past than their standing in social circles. You just don't mess with the mob xP

I am still looking for any siblings of Jid 2. The Mother has been selected so the family RP just needs a daughter or son. Or children of Jidaeo's siblings or cousin Tialis.

Also curious if I could find a friend of Jidaeo Jr. Perhaps a hunter or someone being trained by the family or Farstriders as well. Jidaeo JR will be 100 years old so someone around that age or that age specifically would be best. If a hunter, perhaps their parents could be friends with Zariel or Sabryn and they could be allowed training by Nobles. There are a lot of interesting dynamics between characters being established looking for as many fun combinations as possible.

Just kind of want to give this a bump with updated information.

All the things with Jid 3 and his cousins or those of his generation are still held off until Cataclysm. But there are still characters that can still be selected and played. Novalight RP has been stirring up again. If curious or interested and looking for RP ask a question her or in a PM and I can provide any info you would need, including Family tree, Family history and Timeline for events and ages.

New Novalights

Just to keep those participating or those who may be interested up to date with whats going on with the family. I finally feel confident in moving forward. I do have some WolTK era RP to wrap up but I'd like to begin seriously canvasing players for the 'New Novalights' this time Zariel's Children Specifically. Although some things are subject to change there are a few ideas I am working with at the moment.

Jidaeo Novalight III Jidaeo, A.K.A. Jid or Jiddy will be a blonde Hunter and a prince of sorts to the family. He will be headstrong, adventurous and intelligent. More similar to Jidaeo in his original incarnation than Zariel. Days before Deathwing rips #$@( up, Jid will be out in the world making his location unknown on opening day of the server. Jidaeo will be 100 when the server starts

Amalys Novalight One of Zariel and Sabryn's Daughters, thinking of having her be Jid 3's twin sister. This character is completely open to interpretation as far as class, design and personality. Jid will have blonde hair which doesn't mean Amalys necessarily would have to although it could be interesting for her to have, a white blond like her mother, auburn like her father, Blonde like her twin, or black like her grandfather and majority of Novalights. Amalys will be 100 when the server starts

Reigen Novalight Also one of Zariel and Sabryn's daughters, Named after Zariel's arcane instructor, mentor, friend and head of the Sunfire Noble House which forms the other half of the Novafire alliance. This character is up for interpretation as well, as far as class, design and personality. Reigen will be 94 - 98 when the Server starts.

We have a good cast of players already, Reigen, Caravan, Immy, Sadron, Bovel, Scout, Grogloki, Drust and plenty of cameos and room for others. This storyline has been going for three years so it'll be here, just hoping to get some active members who will be here as well. With all the new characters, races and combos I'm not asking this char to be your main but just to be somewhat active and involved at least periodically. Also may be comical for Reigen and Jid to bicker!

@Stompkins That's also good to hear, I didn't forget about your character I just thought you lost interest in her but there are a lot of possibilities for her and hopefully we can get you more acquainted with the family!

I'll be as involved as you want me to be, just don't expect me to cut down on the Ridaken, I plan to have them in full power again during Cata, and since they've worked with the Novalights before, perhaps we can make that a bit more stronger of a tie this time around.

Still looking for Reigen Novalight, this character would be close to Reigen Sunfire and still has an undecided class and design. Black hair seems fitting as most Novas have black hair besides the twins who took after their mother. but it is truly up to you. Also Amalys and Jid are a mage and Hunter respectively it would be nice if Reigen was one of the other classes. And not a Death Knight.
