I remember reading about it, so I think you can yeah, though I think you neeeded to get a chinese version of the game and stuff. Though it would probably show for you in that case anyway.

All right, I was playing on a live sever and my lovely Horde character got turned into a human female, and I spotted another bad design. I know I mentioned the way they move in the other thread, but for the love of all that is good why does she move like her knees are duct taped together?!

Humans: Good lord! Not every human as huge muscles and looks like they're lost or something. Like TwilightDisciple said, I don't know why they couldn't add something that lets you increase or decrease their build. Or better yet their height!

Females, everyone else has already mentioned those reasons.

Orcs: The females are actually alright. But the males... Why the heck are they hunched over? Since when has any Orc ever been created with a hunch?

Same goes for Trolls, the hunch is a big design flaw from my point of view.

Draenei: Well, lets face it. They're way too damn big. The females probably can't even wrap their entire arms around him. And the Russian accent just has Arnold written all over it. There's no way it could possible coincental.

Blood Elves: The males are alright, I suppose. But the females are way too skinny. Whenever I think of one holding a huge sword, I imagine them toppling over instantly. I simply cannot take one seriously.

Forsaken: The only thing I can say about them is that their bones show when they're wearing robes and armor. Did the designer think: "Ooo! Gotta make room for those bones!" or something?

Sometimes, I think... why don't the men look like the women? Not the other way around. Some of the females of the race were designed much better (More fair, in a PvP-setting and more balanced compared to other females.) If anything, I think the males of a lot the races are extremes.

I agree here; aspiring the males to look more like the females would tone things down, which isn't a bad thing. Aspiring the reverse, we'd end up with monstrosities.

I think Dwarves, Gnomes, and Blood Elves are a good example of there not being too wide a gap in dimorphism.

Also I've seen where you can download the graphic patch and apply it to non-Chinese versions of WoW to get rid of the bones. I think it's called the Harmonized Patch, I don't know.

It wouldn't work for most of the races, because then we'd be stuck with BOTH models not looking even close to the way they should. I'll use orcs as an example...fixing the male's spine is just about all you could do to make them "better" without going outside of the lore. They're SUPPOSED to be huge, ripped, broad-shouldered, etc. etc. as they are now, that's how they've always been depicted in every game and every piece of official art.

Take the females though. Every written piece of lore and game information (such as from the D20 game) says that orc females are SUPPOSED to be just as huge and muscular as their male counterparts. Obviously, that's not holding true in WoW, due to The Rule of Monstrous Females (No matter how misshapen and ugly the males of a particular monstrous species in a video game are, the females must be conventionally pretty and stand upright, ignoring individual exceptions.)

I'd argue the same with the other examples I gave too. Troll males are much closer to how they've always been depicted than the females are, ditto with Tauren. Draenei are the same if you compare them to the old Eredar models from WC3.

Hmm, well about tauren, I wouldn´t mind them being a bit bigger, I mean when they were introduced with WC3 they were at least double the size of an orc!

Oh, and undead death knights; They´re sitting behind the saddle on their mounts, in addition to bad backs, missing flesh and a very... well, not very threatening look.

I think that the Succubus need an update. I mean they are so poorly drawn they pretty much look like glorified WC3 models. They are not attractive at all in-game.

The troll male is fine. Female is not so much. They just don't match very well with the males. They need to hunch over like the males.

Humans are too muscular. I mean even the mages look like they have been doing nothing but pumpin' iron for the past five years.

Blood elves are cute and cuddly and I just wanna hug 'em... But they look too much like real humans. Maybe that is why so many people play them.

Orc males are too hunched over like they are kept in cages. I mean haven't they just re-established their proud culture and way of life. They should be bigger too. Like taller, not any wider than they are.

Undead should have more skin. I mean they look like they don't take care of themselves at all... And their clothes. Why are they all torn at the sleeves. I know they have the heavy metal rockin' dance but it just doesn't suit them at all. I like those chinese models that someone showed. I might just get a chinese copy just for that...

We see a different demon then.

I'd have to say that...

Orcs: Did they drop a nickel or something? They are always hunched over.

Blood Elves: And so begins the rant of elves. THEY'RE TOO PREPPY! I deal with enough preps at school, I don't need to come home and try to play with guilds upon guilds of Blood Elves.

Night Elves: They are elves. That is all.

Dwarves: While I do love my dwarf, they could use a few more beards in their arsenal. And the women could be made a bit more....'efficiently'.

Dreanei: Just what the F*** were the designers smoking when they came up with these behemoths? Like really, Ogres are a bit better designed then the Dreanei.

Thats my ranting, oh and....Kill all the elves, and kill 'em tonight. That is all.

Blood elves: Females are -way- to skinny. Males need to change the way they stand, dance and do other emotions.

Night elves: Males are fine the way they are, females, get rid of the random jumping and the claping emote.

Orc Males: No hunch backs.

Troll Males: No hunch backs.

Put this together in basic, will edit more when i get round to it.
