Introducing: Maiara the Tauren Druid

First and foremost:

Hello everyone, to start off I would just like to say how pleased I am to have been told about this server. I'm 20 and from the United Kingdom, and I speak English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:

I honestly can't remember off of the top of my head right now lol, although I am very glad I did.

I've been playing for a couple of years now, and begun a little while before Burning Crusade. My first server was a non-RP server, and I didn't actually know what roleplay was until a while afterwards. So I tried it out for a little while and decided I loved it. Since then I have mostly played on a RP-PvP type server, as a Horde Hunter and a Druid.

Over the last year though I have been playing on and off, and decided that it was no longer worth paying for. I personally felt the game was becoming more and more reptitive, especially since WOTLK. It also became a lot more confusing for me; I wanted perfection for my characters but I just didn't have the time, and I had no clue what to do about it, so I quit. Thankfully though after a little time away; the hardcore gamer is gone. All I want now is somewhere to roleplay and enjoy the game at a casual level.

Anyway, here I am now; rediscovering World of Warcraft. I would like to think I am hopefully going to get into it again with this here server. Just from looking around it looks like a good to place to be.

What made you seek our server over others?:

I didn't seek you out, the server came up in a conversation I was having with a friend. Although, if I had of searched for a server like this; I'm relatively confident this would have been the one I would have settled for.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:

I feel ashamed to say but I'm not really sure. I haven't roleplayed in quite a while, but for me I would have to say I enjoy the creativity. Sometimes I feel a little shy when roleplaying or even at the thought of it. I find it quite difficult to get involved in tavern roleplay, which is strange because my people skills are fine IRL. I think for me my roleplay might be centered a little more on the solitary-side; a character that only really gets involved when necessary.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:

After a quick think I decided on Taurens being my favourite race. They are noble, peaceful and to me quite beautiful. I have two favourite classes I'm afraid; my first has to be the Hunter. This is because I just love in roleplay the possibilities the Hunter's pet can bring, such as a best friend. Secondly would be the Druid. Bringing balance to the world, and making sure it stays that way seems to be the mission for many of the Druids. Although generally peaceful, Druids have access to the full power of nature itself. Being able to shape shift into a cat or a bear and tear those who threaten the world to shreds? Sounds good to me. At the end of the day the Druid doesn't even need to be destructive to destroy their enemies, instead they might decide to aid their allies with healing spells.

What are your expectations of this server?:

I expect to find nice, friendly people. Hopefully a tight-knit community, with plentiful roleplay and fun times.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

All of the server's rules and regulations appeal to me, but most of all it would be respect. I am very pleased to see this at the top of the list, and I am equally pleased to see a zero tolerance policy right underneath.

This is something I wrote a while ago for my Hunter, Taletha.

Taletha sighed deeply as she gazed out across the waters of the Great Sea, beautiful stars reflected onto the water like little wisps, and the moon was as bright and as stunning as ever. Music played loudly in her ears, violins and flutes, people danced around behind her, she could even catch the faintest smell of Bloodthistle. This was their finest victory, the death of Kael'thas, the Traitor! This was all she cared about, she did not find herself able to care that Kil'jaeden had met his end. She may have cared, but all she felt now was the dull pain of treachery, that her, HER, beloved Prince had left behind. She shuddered gently, a small whimper leaving her pursed lips as she curled her hand into a tight fist. Letting out a pained sigh she wiped a tear from her eye and breathed slowly, her calm coming back to her. Looking down to her side, she saw her faithful pet, Tiza curled-up by her side, looking out to the sea. "What will we do now?", Taletha said softly. Her pet only grunted and made itself more comfortable. Taletha chuckled slightly, and smiled back out towards the sea, the night air flowing soothingly into her lungs, and out again. "Yes, this was a great victory", she thought.. "But what now.." Taletha turned her head north, and gazed towards what would be Northrend, she could not see it, but something in the back of her mind could sense it. She shuddered and regained her compsure, "That will be something to think about another time", she thought. She turned and begun walking back to the vibrant party, multi-colored streamers were being shot off, and blazing fires warmed her cool face, as people started to burst into song. "Tiza.", she said abruptly. Looking up Tiza rushed to her mistress' side, and proceeded to follow her obediently.
