Also, you altered my Dark Apothecary page even though we're not using it... which slightly annoyed me as I put work into that <_<

It was altered from Dark Apothecary... into... I don't even know. I realize we're not using it, and that I didn't -need- to make that page. But the Dark Apothecary on the wiki now isn't even close to a Dark Apothecary. It's a Forsaken thing not a pansy alchemist who runs around derping. My biggest issue with it is that all of the Dark Apothecary lore has been removed and it's become a combat alchemist. This is not Dark Apothecary. Dark Apothecaries are Forsaken, every piece of lore says they are and no one else has become one. So...no humans, dwarves, gnomes, draenei, night elves, blood elves, orcs, trolls, Tauren or (when we get there!) Goblins and Worgen. Classes... it would be weird for anything non-magical to do it. Now before you say it doesn't matter because you didn't include the class anyway, it matters to me because I made it. :(

And I'm only saying this because I love you, did it really take four months to make this? It's good and all that you're trying to please us, and I really really thank you guys for all your time and work doing this <3. I'm happy it's back, but it's not how I was expecting it. I feel like, from what I've seen, there are some lore issues here. I don't know if these are intentional changes, but I'm not really feeling them.

I suppose though, to truly see how this system works, I'd have to try it out.

So, rather than offer criticism in a manner that is both constructive and respectful, you choose to instead take a piss over all the work that the GM team put into this system and complain how we didn't use what YOU wrote.

It is comments like this that make me wish we didn't put a system out at all.

PS, I removed your avatar. It was neither witty, nor accurate. Just stupid.

While I feel that there's room for improvement, I have to say that I like the system! I really do.

...I honestly expected something bad, but it turns out that I was wrong. Sure, there are tweaks here and there - Such as 'Why are so many races allowed to become Dark Rangers, when the class is generally Forsaken Elves-only, with one Forsaken Human exception?' - as Draenei Dark Rangers don't make much sense to me - but otherwise, I love it.

Thank you kindly for the work you put into this, everyone. /salute.

EDIT: Also, thank you again to whoever put in the post length and number limit. Seriously. That was really, really, really needed.

Wait, question. I saw nothing on custom Prestiges. Are they no more, or were they just forgotten?

Quote:CUSTOM PRESTIGE:

In this system a player is allowed to make a custom prestige. It is stressed that these prestiges can be both combat-oriented and non-combat-oriented.

To apply for a prestige they must be a grunt and have the intended character be approved for over a month's time. It is strongly encouraged to already have a single prestige character approved and finished, as the lack of one may weigh in favor against a player during the application process.

To apply, the applicant will sit down with a GM and discuss their ideas. Together with the GM, they will detail the custom prestige, create information, cite supporting information and provide information on their powers and abilities.

This proposal shall be submitted to the GM team. The GM team will scrutinize the application and the applicant, weighing whether they are trusted enough and responsible enough to create a prestige.

The prestige cannot have powers and abilities that would make them stronger than a normal prestige. Neither can they possess resistances or natural defenses that would put them at an advantage against all or a majority of existing classes and prestiges.

If they are approved their prestige will be added to the list of possible classes a player can select and they will begin training. The custom prestige can only be selected from the list after the original creator of the prestige has finished their thread and has been playing the character for two months.

The training process will follow the normal paths and requirements as listed above in the Training section.

From the original post.

So basically, for being annoyed that lore was ignored and my work was removed without at least telling me so I could get it back and maybe put it somewhere for future use? And I don't know exactly how I took a 'piss' over all your work. I told you that I'm grateful for what you're doing. I did, I was trying not to come off as hostile or rude Grakor, I really was. And that was just my own irritant? Do you want me to tell you about how I think it's silly that felsworn are immortal and continously reform in the nether? Or that Fel-sworn have been changed to more than footsoldiers? Or that Forsaken wouldn't actually hate murderers, they'd probably not care? Or that I think while some of the class pages are extremely fleshed out and beautiful in every way, others are a bit vague and might need to be expanded upon. I can go through it and tell you what I dislike and think could be improved upon, though I didn't think my opinions were wanted. Clearly by your post I was right.

I gave my thoughts on the matter. I can go into depth if you want, just ask. And I do appreciate what you all do, it's just some of the things that I read I didn't enjoy too much. I'm sorry if I come off as 'pissing' on your work, it's not my intention. Honestly, it's posts like this that make me wonder why I even try to help at all, because I do recall something similar happening the last time I offered my opinion.

P.S. Very well-- it was all in good fun anyway.

I applaud you guys for at least making Prestige classes look like more fun than they were. Here's hoping it works properly. ^^

And if it doesn't, here's hoping we never have to hear about it, ever again.

Much <3<3<3 for this, GM team. I thank you all for getting this out much sooner than I honestly expected. Though, I've one little bitty question/suggestion.

For custom prestiges, is there a template that needs to be followed and if so, could it be added to the section?

Once more, <3

... I screwed up with the race limitations on that thing. Forgive me. Edit made.

Regarding Dark Apothecaries, maybe instead of taking the name of specifically Forsaken Apothecaries you could change it to Master Apothecary or just Apothecary (or whatever else) to make it more universal? It's clear you tried to make it available for any character with the will to improve their craft, which I think works out fairly well and benefits RP of tradesmen more than the Dark Apothecary did (though at the cost of cool, situational old Forsaken DA skills like being able to make your blood poisonous), but distancing it completely from Forsaken alchemy is probably the best idea for the class as it is now. In fact, it's not very "dark" at all unless the player wants to make poisons, so the moniker doesn't stand true anymore.

It doesn't really bother me too much, but I can see where Aphetoros comes from without sharing his unbridled rage. A simple name change to differentiate two very different classes is all that's needed.

So, I was considering coming back onto Conquest of the Horde, but reading this, and a lot of the changes that were made to the prestige system (Other things among this), it just seems down right stupid. Aphetoros is trying to be respectful about it because he clearly couldn't think of any that can be given, so in reply to -that- Grakor, you're coming off as a lot more disrespectful than Aphetoros, therefore I ask you be quiet and stop raging about an opinion merely said because it was felt it needed to be put out. It was merely his opinion. You are far too sensitive to it, and if it effects you so and you believe it matters so much. Make Aphetoros a GM if his opinion matters so much to you.

Chillax yo.

We'll work on it. Thank you.

Let's try and avoid kicking up any drama here. There's no real need for it over something like this.

If you offered your opinion with an amount of respect and less rage, your opinion would be better received. Saying things like "Did it really take four months to make this?" and "Pansy alchemist who runs around derping", combined with an image expressing sheer dislike? That's not respectful or constructive.

Also, your work was not entirely lost. It's a wiki, you can look at the history of pages and get your version.

This I can agree with. Ultimately the problem was my fault, as the original prestige name was just "Apothecary" (I believe Rigley wrote the sheet for this one.) I didn't want a prestige to remain JUST "Apothecary" as we have people RPing RAS guys without the prestige, so it needed something else. Thinking back, naming it Dark Apothecary when that wasn't the theme probably wasn't the correct move. Nothing a simple rename couldn't fix.

Obviously not, seeing has how someone was able to bring this up in a constructive and respectful manner, which is what both you and Aphetoros failed to do.

And believe me, I'm not raging. If I were, you'd have lost your posting ability.

Er... I wasn't trying to come off as hostile or rude. I suppose my meanings were lost in text. I didn't know I could get the work back, and I don't know how. Can you tell me ^^?

I don't really know what Carver is doing here, but I was merely stating my basic opinions. I suppose looking back that "Did it really..." question was meh-ish, and the pansy alchemist who runs around derping was just me not feeling like coming up with anything else, it was easy to type out. And it's not sheer dislike, it's an image of neither hate nor love.
