First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I consider myself a relaxed and easy-going role-player. I am also a fairly casual in my video game pursuits. I have a family and a professional life which will always take precedence over any type of video game immersion and I can often be heard telling my young daughter that, "real life comes first".
I began role-playing with my older brothers at the age of 12 during their D&D tabletop parties. I would often sit, listen and watch as they immersed themselves with great focus into the setting, characters and game play for the current campaign they were running. Subsequently, I learned a lot about what and what not to do in a role-playing environment by attending these unique and fun gatherings.
The first time I role-played within the confines of a virtual computer world was in Everquest1. After joining, learning, and participating in a role-playing guild there I migrated to Everquest2 at its launch. I always play elves, which are my favorite character type, and I quickly found a home there in a role-play oriented guild and proceeded to participate in every role-play event I could attend. My next journey took me to Age of Conan where I also joined a role-play oriented guild and attempted to join in and/or facilitate as much role-play as I could. I was disappointed with the game as a whole and feel the role-play potential of AoC was never fully reached because the game started bleeding subscribers right out of the gate.
I also have spent some time role-playing on a few Never Winter Nights private servers. While I admit the role-play on some of these servers was top notch there were always serious performance issues with the servers and because the realms tend to be very small I felt a little claustrophobic at times.
Over all I consider myself an average veteran role-player, quick to adapt, easy to get along with, slow to anger and lacking the type of ego found in some of the rookies who believe their character must be the best at this or the greatest at that etc...

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I have played all of the Warcraft RTS games in sequence. I have played World of Warcraft Online for short periods of time but was eventually driven off by the lack of maturity I found amongst the player base.
What made you seek our server over others?:
Honestly? Your strict rule set. The obvious care and attention you have given to your website and wiki applications. In my professional career I am a software developer so I truly appreciate the effort any user can plainly see has gone into making CotH a top notch place to become immersed in role-play.
What kinds of role-play do you enjoy?:
I enjoy all types of role-play. I don't like meta or power gaming and I'm fairly casual and easy-going. I am quick with my fingers and with my wit so communicating while fighting, engaged with others in an intimate setting or in large crowds is not a difficult task for me.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
As far as the World of Warcraft is concerned I prefer Night Elf or Blood Elf. I like elves, always have, always will.
What are your expectations of this server?:
To have fun and cultivate friendly enjoyable role-play experiences.

Akki's chin rests just above the crest of her bosom as she stares down at the rosewood lute held firmly against her lap. Shifting her weight ever so slightly, an almost unheard nervous giggle escapes her lips. It's really just an attempt to hide, from her audience, the fact that her hands are shaking with the sudden anxiety every musician must certainly feel moments before they perform. Taking a deep breath Akki pulls the lute into the playing position, raises her eyes to meet those of the waiting crowd and begins to sing and play simultaneously.
She sings:
She cast's her shadow in the depths of the night to envelope us all in the absence of light.
Her pale sister illuminates the midnight sky, watching over the sleepless with restless delight.
Moon Shadow fall over me tonight and hide my deeds from the pale moons light.
Gather and hold me, in your cold embrace, until dawn prevails and you fade away.
She bathes you in secret and gives no word of your deed, just pass into her presence; in her love you are free. Now do what you must, when you must be unseen, for her caress shall wash away all of those things.
