I had always thought Goblins would make a perfect race for the guys who just wanna buff up their professions. I never did like having to quest to 20 just so I can level up my alchemy.

I prefer Gnolls over Worgen, btw.

And Hogger shall be their leader.
Do you have what it takes to join the Fighting Blues?
Do you have what it takes to defend your homeland?
Will you stand up in defense of the innocent? The weak?
Will you stand up in defense of Justice and the Law?

We'll just see how they implement them. Think of as many complaints as you can, it still isn't like the Drae, these two have been here in lore, practically begging to be playable, for damn near the whole of wow. =P

While the independent at first thing does sound cool, I doubt blizz would be so great. It will most likely be a separate faction of Goblins (like how those Scyers and Aldor are seperate from Exodar and Smc.) who side with the Horde, and using Alphus Wordwill they have already covered making a faction of Worgen a normal civil race over five years ago.

WoWWiki Wrote:The Great Sundering, also known as simply the Sundering or the Cataclysm,WRPG 185, 211 was a world event which reshaped Azeroth approximately 10,000 years ago at the end of the War of the Ancients. This event was triggered due to the Well of Eternity being destroyed.

Prior to the Sundering, there was only one continent on Azeroth, referred to as Kalimdor. In the catastrophic explosion, eighty percent of the land mass was destroyed,W3Man #? leaving behind the major continents and scattered islands that are known today: Northrend, Kezan, the Eastern Kingdoms, and the remnant still referred to as Kalimdor.

The site of the Well of Eternity became a swirling vortex of power known as the Maelstrom.

Rumor

A blogger discovered [1] multiple trademarkings belonging to Blizzard under the name Cataclysm. The news has since spread to WOW.com [2], DIGG.com [3], and others [4][5]. Rumors and discussions are leading to a conclusion that this is likely the name for World of Warcraft's third expansion, though nothing is confirmed.

Rumours are that Maelstrom will be the next expansion, with the naga city Nazjatar and goblin island Kezan with the city Undermine and such.

Goblins make some sense. Remember, not all Jungle Trolls are Horde. Only a single tribe. Maybe one of the Five Cartel Princes have pledged their allegiance to the Horde? A really good balance to the Alliance Gnomes, I must say.

Actually, I'd think the next expansion would be the Emerald Dream. There is, actually, already a place in-game (Though not on any player-accessible maps) that looks like the drawing board for what the Emerald Dream should be. That, and the fact that there are multiple portals to the Emerald Dream around Azeroth that have so far remained untouched.

We discussed this the other month, yes.

Emerald Dream....with the Ocean being more of the focus. Player-controlled ships. Kul Tiras, Gilneas (Worgen) is open for Alliance, Panda land or some other island for the Horde, while that Goblin Capital Island and probably the Troll Capital is open for neuts. That Highborne Queen is up and about wrecking the place (Emerald Dream and Alexastrza (sp?) is related somehow), while the Emerald Dream is an instance that can be reached in the sea or any other existing portals.
