Well, the problem with that is that the player might be stopped due to lack of respect. I know it's a rule, but sometimes it's hard to get a message across without having someone jump on your back for disrespect.

Well, it's just that the truth hurts, and being hurt may come across as disrespect. If it's found disrespectful, then it's pretty brutally truthful. Whether you want to see it or not, that's the truth.

Not everything a man says is true, nor is there but one way to say something.
What has been said can only be unsaid by editing posts, nobody will do that, trust me. But look at the anger that's been released in some of these posts, it's good that it's out rather then just brooding and talking behind backs.
Thank you Jack, that was my main point in my first two posts really. There's things that needed to be out, and they're really finally being brought out. If not slowly.
...Can I be the first person to say they like the office idea?
Typing on a iPod is hard. I couldn't sleep, so here it goes anyways.

In total I have spoken with two people in depth since I requested earlier in this thread. What I got wasn't pleasant, and it wasn't anything I took lightly. Through all of these though, one thing specifically comes up to me.

Don't bottle your issues up. Nothing good can come of making a list and waitig until the meet n greet. The prime issue that I fielded was one I honestly had not been questioned about previously. I realize that GMs can appear unapprochable. I realize at times we may seem dismissive, or uncaring. Please, send in your concern regardless. If not to one of us, then to Kretol.

Perhaps one of the best things to remember is this- and don't take this as a cry for sympathy- GMs are people and players as well. We will make mistakes, have bad days, and disagree. Just as people misconstrue things we may say as offensive, secretive, or apahetic, we can do the same to your posts as well.

Can that be fixed? No, but we aren't professionals. We aren't trained to handle stress from customers, or brainstorm storylines or systems for games. We think we can give it a pretty good go, but then we see flaws.

I'm getting much too weary of rewriting this on tiny iPod keys, so I'll close with this. My name is Rigley. I play the characters Wilt, Rigley, and Jovana. I wrote the Diver's Log and Echoes. I go to high school, and I have some troubles of my own. I think BrutalSkars, Esthrunil, and Hawk are some of the neatest guys on this server. I am also a GM.

I get angry. I get sad. I act rashly. I try and look professional when I can. I don't always see eye to eye with other players or GMs. I think things will get better in time. To anyone who thinks anything else of me, I apologize.

I'm also tired. Sleep well, CotH.
Edit: can't edit posts. iPod knowledge lacking.

Spiralin, I don't mind that there are issues. Instead of keeping them held in though, releasing them before boilig point is reached is key.

It's a bit late for that now though. I still hope to discuss any concerns later tomorrow, once I'm online. I can take honesty, I only ask you meet me halfway and give me the time to do so.

I'm not intending to change your perception of the server. I'm intending to explain what I can.
Spiralin tried to be perfectly respectful originally during the meet and greet. He asked five good questions. One was answered. The other four? Ignored. One question he was called out for disrespect, when he was being anything but.

What do you expect him to do after that? Be respectful to you?

Not trying to say this with an attitude, as I expect to be accused of having one.
Just want to throw this out there.

I am honest, 'brutally honest' as most will say. But in order to be able to do that, you have to have some form of tact or you will come off as a douche nozzle (Because the bag isn't as grotesque).

For real, real. Not for play, play.

And!

Since I was the one telling him to be respectful. Calling out a GM with a personal issue infront of what? Like...Thirty people is respectful? I don't think so. If you have a personal issue with a GM, you should PM it to them, like they have always said to do.

Also, when I was still running it, he refused to stop when I asked him to. People, ones who didn't get to address their concern, couldn't do it because he drug the one question out. Even though the staff had answered it. So, yes. He was being disrespectful.

Oh yeah, and I even asked in the original meet 'n greet post not to do that. /thumbs up.
I really didn't call out many, personal issues. At all, I never even called out a specific GM, Cressy.

Other then that, my questions were only drug-out because I didn't get straight-forward answers, they were always maybes. Where as only one out of five, were completely answered to their fullest.
Spoilered for language and lulz on my largely disorganized... thing.
Spoiler:
Grow a god damn pair already (or for the more politically correct: Get a fucking spine).

Seriously.

You're GMs. This is a volunteer position in the end. Is anyone forcing you to be a GM? No. Is anything stopping you from resigning? Not really.

So... Why are you taking all the unnecessary shit? Even if people don't like it, you need to tell them to deal with it.
Your character coming off as too powerful? Tell them to f**k off. Who decides the power limit on your character? In fact, is there even a power limit? Yea, someone will BAWWWWWWWW about it, but that's expected. People hate losing. They really do. They'll worm and try to squeeze their way out of it. So, what do you think they'll say when they come across a something more powerful then them? "Oh! Good game, chap! I will gladly take this loss and death with a smile and a cup of sugar." f**k no. They'll cry and cry and cry. If not to you, then someone else.
Hell, if you're going to cave into their bitching, then why bother playing anything with a potential for power? Hell, why play anything other than a potato? Why bother being a fel-powered war machine. Why bother being a wizard with the power to destroy worlds? (To be fair, those aren't really on here.) Why? Because it's fun and mostly interesting. Someone bitching about how your character is too powerful? Point out the glaring weakness s/he will clearly have. What's that? A suped up Fel-sworn? GEE, if only there were some kind of demon hate carrying combatants around. What's that? An Archmage bent on annihilating everything? GEE, if only there were some kind of magical hate carrying combat tant around. What? A beasty juggernaut is on a rampage and physical weaponry is useless against him? GEE, if only we had magic. OH WAIT. We do. There is always a hard counter to everything and probably a soft counter to it as well.

As for storylines? Someone complaining the monster of the week is too powerful and would draw the ire of world ending critter # too fucking high? Tell them to STFU and move on. It's your story, your monster, your objective. Hell, we already know the general outcome (usually), so why complain about it? Clearly, it's going to die/get banished/turn good/something. What? Too lore changing? BAH! The reason the RP on this server is stagnating is because people are afraid of that. Hell, we already know the lore of Cata. I'm pretty sure you can simply go yay or nay to that might "change" the lore too much.

On that note, are we really going to just sit around doing this in the vain hope Cata will be cracked? Who says we'll get to see it on a private server? Hell, who says it'll ever be cracked? If this is the mentality you wish to hold, then you might as well stop RPing. Hey, it may get cracked sometime in the future, like a year or two. But, at that time, Blizz might release or reveal a NEW expansion. What are you gonna do? Wait around for that one as well? I say you should just RP and stop waiting around for Cata. Worried about retcons and the like? Well, you already know the lore. Not like you can't just tune your RP to avoid such things.

tl;dr Grow a pair.
*Cough* Yeah...about that.
If you're talking about Anski, he did not call her out. He was talking about favortism. He was asked for an example. He said a player had 2 Tier 3 prestiges, and Anksi assumed he was talking to her. Then Anksi began explaining the personal matter to him, not the other way around.
Ok, I'm gonna say one more things and let sleeping goblins lie...or whatever. Nobody on CotH's perfect, you've all got flaws, except me, obviously, both GM's and players. Binkle you can rage and go "Grow a pair" all you want but people will still see you as the guy that hangs around on GMI flirting with everything and many others will be seen as whiny, complainy and generally mean. This entire thread is pointless, I was asleep during the meet and greet and I can't stop laughing about how long it took for something like this to happen. On a lighter note, I want to attend the next one.

Oh and edit, many of the gm's do show favouritism...but you would too if you think about it, it's human nature.

And I'm a troll by nature,that's not a flaw.
